Owner description: Enjoy a fun and cooling experience and discover THE OTHER SIDE OF PATTAYA."Colors of Pattaya" is a relaxed bicycle tour that last about 4 hours and brings you to parts of Pattaya away from the tourist tracks. You will visit the local fishing pier and fish market, a school for blind children, a famous Muay Thai boxing camp and much more. You will see the countryside of Pattaya where the real people live and work in the fields. We promise you an unforgetable experience! If you choose our "Special Edition" you also bring a visit to the famous "Sanctuary of truth", a gigantic wooden construction on the seashore build to combine all different religions and philosophies in one amazing building, with every square inch of it covered with wooden carve sculpture. We also offer a Bike&Box tour where you can combine the tour with a private training Muay Thai at Sidyothong boxing camp or a more sportive tour around the lake. Also E-bikes available for people that don't want to paddle.

First of all, it’s great that during the trip we didn’t go to any widely-advertised sights. You can’t avoid crowds when you come to Pattaya. And this is the appeal of a bicycle trip – you don’t spend your time in the city hurly-burly. It’s also great that the usual bicycle group is not big; there were just 4 of us. What I liked most was going along the rural area in Eastern Pattaya. It was beautiful and peaceful. The trip program is done in a very optimal way, it is safe and you see places that tourist books or guides would never show you.
And I would also like to add, that bicycles were more than comfortable. It was a pleasure to ride them!

We decided to try to get away from the hustle and bustle and fat Russians walking around with petite Thai women for a day. The bike ride was OK, Richard was friendly and informative, and the school for the blind, the market and the fishing pier were neat sights. But if you are expecting a peaceful ride along the beach, away from the mayhem, think again.

At various times you are likely to have close calls with a motorcycle, a cement truck, a car, a dog, or possibly all of the above, and will need to make at least two hair-raising road crossings. Also, keep in mind that the 'snack' is actually a full lunch-size serving of fried rice. Personally, I'd rather have had pad Thai or keep the snack smaller and ride longer.

And the scenery, in addition to the beach/pier, will include smoldering dumps, trash heaps and depressing clapboard/crumbling houses, but for an authentic view of Pattaya, this is pretty accurate (then again, so is the sight of fay Russians walking around with petite Thai women....).

This tour gives you a great insight to the unexplored parts of Pattaya, from the school for the blind, across to the fish markets, along the river front local homes, out into the rural areas via a Thai boxing school, past the Chines temples and other attractions and finishes with a cold beer. If you want to really learn about Thailand and the local culture and way of life this tour is a must. It a easy ride at a very relaxed pace. The guides were knowledgeable and very friendly.

We went to Pattaya because we wanted to get a couple of dives before our flight back to Europe and we didn't have enough time to fly to the islands in the south, but my first impression of Pattaya wasn't very good. Then we went biking with Richard from RBB Pattaya Biking tours and I've changed my mind - there's lot to see in Pattaya and biking was the best way to do it. From the school for blind children, through the fishing pier and fish market and many more things to see, it was the second best experience in Thailand (diving being the first). I can only recommend it to anyone staying in Pattaya - you'll see a different part of the city and you actually get to see how ordinary people live there.
