Usually once a month our Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard has a fellowship with members and friends at a place in our area (Banglamung, Pattaya, Jomtien) to enjoy an evening with talk talk and good food.
For January 2012 we choosed the newly opened Bali Breeze at the Jomtien 2nd road. Together we were a bit more than 20 people at two large tables. A good occasion to try the the "Bali Breeze Hights" rice table. Served with noodles, steamed rice and different kinds of fried rice we got a wide selection of 15 different dishes. There was the whole bandwith of very hot and spice dishes to vegetables, sweet and sour, accompanied by tasty sauces to add flavour till your own pain barrier.
As a bigger group of peoples, we were not only served all kind of basic dishes (rice and noodles) a discretion, but we also were invited to ask for supplement for every of the 15 indonesian specialities.
Everything was perfect done, served with a smiling smooth professional manner and the food was (regarding the temperature) so hot or warm as one wishes it more frequently here at Thailand.
The location of Bali Breeze adjoining a new main road is convenient but neither specatcular nor especially nice. But when you drives throug Jomtien's new second road ath thei height of Soi 5 (Soi Immigration) you can't miss the premises due their blue fluorescent light during the night. In compensation to the not so special location, the setup of the restaurant inside as well as outside is very nice done with plants, illumination and the arrangement of the tables around ponds and wells with flowing water.
For outside dining guests there are enough floor ventilators arranged meticoulosly around your table and the wind-resistant kind of mosquitos are fought by well placed smoke-spirals. However you are well advised to bring a mosquito repellent with you or take your longsleeved shirt and long trousers for this night out.
The place was - on a Tuesday night - well frequented not only by farangs (westerners) but also by more discerning local Thais.
Bali Breeze I heard, had a good start and did a perfect job for our Rotary Club fellowship. Hope fellow tripadvisor readers find this impression confirmed upon their visit.
