This is a new place, but whomever laid it out wasn't thinking of people actually living there. In the kitchen there is only one set of outlet plugs available. In the living room, there were NONE!
In the bedroom, the electrician must never have lived with a bed and electricity, because they put the ONLY outlet in the room right in the middle of where the bed is, so you cannot plug anything in because the bed is up against the plug. (I'm an apprentice electrician for Habitat in Denver, so I know something about laying out electrical service to actually be useful.) We stayed at another place on the south side of Pattaya, and in both places I found the beds to be hard. I'm used to a 3" foam mattress at home though.
Our 2 bedroom unit came with a washing machine, which is helpful, but we have not used it yet. We had a wifi modem in the room. Speed supposedly 54 Mbps.
Our room came with breakfast, which is nice looking, but the food is cold! Only the two kinds of soup are hot. It is tasty though lukewarm unless you catch the tray right after they put it out.
Location is on a fairly quiet street just a block off the main (usually unbelievably congested) drag, and two blocks from the beach. Big C ( the former Carrefour) is an easy walk away, as are the unbelievable number of bars and "massage" parlors and tattoo shops.
The price was $250 a night, which seems high, but I wasn't paying it. Based on ads I think the party who paid didn't get a great bargain, but they were somewhat desperate.
Pool was nice. Exercise room is not air conditioned, so very hot, even at 7 am. Equipment almost new.
The staff speak pretty good English, quite a contrast to previous place in Jomtien, south of Pattaya.
