nice stay in a great town!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 31, 2013
i do not know what you think about pattaya! for me is a romantic and alive city!
Hotel is in right position , nothing special if you just need somewhere clean to sleep you got it!
if you have no problems with Russians ( full of Russians) then you are in Heaven!
If you stay in the hotel and like walking just follow this and you relize what i am mean!
go on the back street door street 2 late at night , walk on the left until end of the road and turn left again and walk back to the hotel or up to walking street either on the right hand side of the road or the Beach!
just wondeful!
no trafic no noise just great!
Nice places to eat the little Italian restaurant on the right hand side of hotel is near the bank you have to walk in to find it! ,best pizza ever taste!
and for live music "we are the world" bar or one on the back there are after hardrock hotel ! usally Bands are exelent in both bars!
Do not forget the trip to the coral island !!!great day out!
for cheap trip go to the desks after "walking street "and catch the line ship
warning :it can be dangerous the line ship because on rush hours there are many in the boat and in cause of fire i can not see how the baot will be safed !! of course is up to you to charge this!
otherwise buy the boat trip from hotel with meal , boat leave out of the hotel and come out of the hotel!not crowed and nice boat!
"walking street" is another great part of pattaya ,so alive and unique!of couse if you are looking for troubles you will get them!!!! and this is up to you!!!!
how stupid somebody can be to take a stranger (prostitute) in his hotel room, and then complain that she stole his things!lof couse she will!

i think ... this is apply in every town in every country!why not in Pattaya!
great stay we will be back!

I have stayed in the Twin Palm Resort several times and in general, I really like it. The “resort” is split into four main Lodges situated on a fairly thin strip of land between 2nd Road and Beach Road, each Lodge being in a different price range. I stayed in the City lodge which is the budget category. Pros and Cons:

+ Although close to the city, the City Lodge was reasonably quiet.
+ Recently renovated with flat screen TV and local cable.
+ The grounds are attractive and it is pleasant to walk from one end to the other.
+ There are two pools but the smaller one is rarely used
+ WiFi internet is available in the room
+ Meals are available round the clock and breakfast is now included in the price
+ Food is good, something for all tastes.
- Staff in general are very friendly but the staff in the restaurant can be sultry
- The beds in the City Lodge are rock hard and certainly gave me back pain
- internet (WiFi) has to be paid for and is very slow at times – it broke down while I was there.
- There is no Gym although there is plenty of room for one

Room tip: The hotel should seriously consider building a Fitness Centre, most hotels that aspire to this quality of venue, have one.

We had a great stay at the twin palms. Rooms were reasonably priced, very clean and neat - only complaint was that we didnt have a little balcony. Room service was great. Pool was nice. Location was far enough away from walking street to be fairly quiet. We will be staying there on our next visit

Room tip: Maybe ask if any of the rooms have a balcony

We got a cheap deal from Agoda so booked this hotel, since the location was great, and breakfast was included. The property is HUGE, and split into 3 sections: the City wing, Garden wing & the Beach Wing. The distance between the City wing (where I & husband had a room) and the Beach Wing is like some 300 meters, and its no fun walking all the way in the sun to the restaurant for breakfast. The room was small & functional, beds hard. The washroom didn't have a exhaust fan, so that meant foul smells if the toilet door & room windows were not kept open. I don't think I would be staying here the next time I visit Pattaya.

Room tip: Choose the Beach Wing!

Im going to keep this one short!

It doesnt matter about central location and price when the bed is like this! Its harder than concrete and sleeping rough is preferable.

I could mention the rude staff but thats a side issue when your bed is made of stone.

I stayed here for two weeks in June and can't fault it. The rooms are a great size, the fridge is well stocked and very cheap to use. Huge bed, good air-conditioning and very close to the beach and 2nd Road.

One of my favourite features of this hotel is the fact that you can access it from either Beach Road or 2nd road, meaning whichever way you are going, you can get on the right road (as they're both one way in opposite directions, for those that haven't been before).

Overall, I would thoroughly recommend the Twin Palms Resort and will definitely stay there again.
