My family and myself stayed four nights at the Hilton Pattaya at the end of February.

After a six hour drive from central Thailand, we parked up in the Hilton section of the car park which is shared with the shopping centre. We were greeted by hotel staff who helped us unpack the car and took our suitcases. We were then taken to reception on the 16th floor and quickly shown the facilities before taken to the exec lounge on the 33rd floor to check in. In the lounge we were given cold towels and a glass of guava juice, which was nice after six hours on the road. Check in was completed quickly and we were shown to our room by the person who originally greeted us at reception which was nice. Our suitcases arrived after about five minutes as well as a fruit bowl, which contained six different Thai fruits.

The room was an upgrade to an exec room. It was located on the 32nd floor with an excellent view looking north towards Naklua. The bathroom consisted of separate areas for the bath, shower and toilet. All the standard Hilton amenities were included in the bathroom as well as razor and toothbrushes. As we were travelling with a three year old, it was nice of the hotel to provide a cot, bath and potty for the young one. They also provided slippers, PJ’s, dressing gown and a fun pack for him, which was a nice touch.

After spending a week in the 40 degree heat of central Thailand it was nice to feel the sea breeze sat around the pool. The pool is located on the 16th floor and was a great place to relax. There is a nice shallow area for children and the main pool area is fine for cooling down and having a nice swim.

If you are a Hilton Diamond or upgrade to an exec room you will have access to the exec lounge on the 33rd floor. During the day the lounge offers snacks and soft drinks. On an evening there’s a selection of wines, beers & spirits. There’s also a complementary cocktail menu, which we found a nice touch. They also provided some nice Canapé’s on an evening which they brought to your table. The staff in the exec lounge provided excellent service and were a credit to the hotel.

The location of the hotel is above the central festival shopping centre which is a modern six floor shopping centre in the heart of pattaya. It was hard to imagine you were in the centre of Pattaya with all of the craziness of the city around you. Staying at this hotel you don’t really need leave the grounds. The hotel and shopping centre really do cater for your ever need. There are plenty of food options in the hotel and shopping centre with a 7/11 only a couple of minutes walk.

As a Hilton Diamond, I stay in Hiltons 2/3 nights per week in the UK. I have to say that this property exceeded my expectations. The hotel was spotless and the service provided by all of the staff was outstanding. I really cant say enough about this hotel and am looking forward to my next stay there.

I've stayed at a number of high end hotels in Pattaya over 20+ years, and was glad when the Pattaya Hilton and the Central Mall (below it) was built. I don't frequent Pattaya that much (am probably one of the few that actually comes solely for business reasons) but for the last two years, have always stayed here. Good for single travelers and families too.

There are a few different hotel room sizes and layouts dependent on the pricing, and I've now stayed in rooms having three different layouts. They all seem to have an outside deck and sunken tub though (which is nice). What may also be appealing for new visitors is the separation you'll have from what's happening at the street level below, though you can hear the evening music and folks below if sitting outside on your deck. The outside views are either up or down the coast or straight out.

Breakfast is usually included in the room rate (make sure it is). The breakfast buffet is splendid (western, asian, japanese fare). They have several other restaurants in the hotel and I also dined upstairs on the top floor with coworkers this past weekend. Even with drinks, appetizers and entrees, the price was fairly reasonable at ~$50/person. Dining was offered inside or outside.

For some, they might rather alternatively stay at lower cost hotel locations in Pattaya. Or more, but also upscale, resort-like locations (e.g., Dusit Pattaya). Years ago, my lower end favorite was the Montien Hotel, a high rise with rooms facing the ocean, and especially comfortable with the natural wind breezes blowing through the rooms if you left your front door open.. These hotels are all fine, but for me, I just like the convenience of this location, above the multi-level new Central Mall shopping/restaurants, multiple options for eating in/around the area, near enough to Walking Street, the ocean views, the morning breakfast, modern deco design, the option to have a temperature-wise cold room, a safe in the room, the proximity to the main road, and when your rooms are that high up, less likelihood of mosquitoes. For those who are shy, pls note that the floor-to-ceiling glass in your shower to the outside world does offer a large pull down shade, but not quite a 100% cover!

Enjoy. Other comparable high rise Pattaya hotels are the Amari and Holiday Inn, but this one I've found much better in terms of location.

Room Tip: If you cannot get an end room (one of three) which faces the ocean, then ask for one that is nearer...

Great hotel - staff excellent. Very friendly from bell boys to check in to cleaners. Stayed in ocean view King and it was very impressive. Great use of room layout.

Lights took a while to figure out! Floor creaked a bit, but minor observations in an otherwise flawless stay.

My wife and I were in Pattaya for a short 3 day stay before moving elsewhere in Thailand for the remainder of our vacation. We had been to Pattaya a few times in transit but prior to Hilton Pattaya opening. We chose the Hilton because of its location, "absolute beach front" and "right in the middle of the bay". We were not disappointed. Where to start:
- the lobby on level 16 is amazing, and has a lounge bar/restaurant overlooking the ocean/bar with breathtaking views (and amazing day lounges to sip champagne on and watch the world go by)
- we were then escorted to the club lounge check in on level 33 (which also has an amazing view). The service we obtained here was first class and we have been to many club lounges/executive floors etc. 'Bee' was our host and made our checkin as smooth as possible.
- we elected for a deluxe executive (i think thats the right language) and got room 3101. It is definitely worthwhile to pay the extra for a room at the front of the hotel (only 2 per level as the hotel is positioned long ways away from the beach, so, while all rooms have ocean views only 2 per floor are completely ocean facing). Our room was amazing with a spa on the balcony and the bathroom was surrounded in glass with great views. Perfectly appointed rooms. The only thing I would have expected was for wifi to be included given the room rate (although the executive/club floor has this for free so you can check emails at breakfast, which we did)
- "THE POOL" - WOW!! we have stayed at many 5 star resorts (and even the odd 6) around the world, but i have to say that the pool at Hilton Pattaya wins hands down in many respects, being: (1) view is amazing as its positioned on level 16 and given the hotel is in the middle of the bay, the breathtaking views are great. At sunset the sun sets behind the island and is a great place to enjoy a cocktail away from the hustle and bustle below. (2) the pool is the perfect depth (1.2m). Too many pools are so deep you cant cruise around them and relax with a drink in hand, (3) infinity pool, (4) cabanas are great and also perfectly situated so you can stay out of the midday sun but can enjoy the afternoon sun and sunsets (5) they have a button to press to get poolside service. The poolside service was amazing every time we went there (about 3 times a day). The staff by the pool we very attentive and didn't miss a thing, they should be credited for their service. I think a few other 5 star hotels around the world could learn a few things from these staff. 'Tana' was our host by the pool and did a fantastic job (plus her other staff).
- Roof top bar and restaurant (Infinity and Horizon from memory) - we had recently come from the Banyan Tree in Bangkok (3 nights also) and went to the roof top bar there (Moon Bar). Where Moon Bar was old, looked dangerous and didn't feel safe, Infinity Bar was amazing, felt really safe and the actual bar, cocktails, service were 10 times better (sorry Banyan Tree). Try the frozen margarita. We also met the general manager (Philippe) and director of operations (Gerard) who could not have been more accommodating if they tried. They ensured our trip was fantastic. In fact Gerard personally escorted us from the club lounge (after we finished our amazing canapés that are provided in the club package each night at sunset) to the roof top bar.
- Location - for shopping this is probably the best spot as well. There is a huge brand new shopping centre (Central) under the hotel which is like a Westfield (for those who know what they are like). My wife loved the shops as they are air-conditioned and she could walk back to the hotel lobby and drop bags off with the concierge. I loved it because they had a life size formula 1 simulator (Red Bull Racing) that i went on a few times. Also plenty of restaurants.

Next time we are in Pattaya, we will stay for longer.

Thanks to the team for an enjoyable and memorable stay, good job.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra and request a room at the very front with a spa in the balcony. Eg room 3101, 3103...

Looked like a new property. Its on the upper floor of a malls which is good if you are there fore shopping.
the view of the sea from the Hotel Swimming pool is mesmerising.
The lift part of the hotel does not match up to the standards of the hotel. Very inconvenient.
Will recommend for couples
