“A nice setting over the sea”
Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

I've visited the Lobster Pot many times over the last few years. I keep going back because of the good food and nice setting, although the noisy beer bar next door is a bit annoying. The service could be improved because they don't leave you once you sit down and you feel under pressure to choose quickly from the menu. Then when you need a waiter, they're nowhere to be seen! The sangria is nice and I like the prawns with cashew nuts, chicken penang and massaman curry. Good value as the portions are big enough. Good place to go for lobster!

“What a setting”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

A must when in Pattaya the Lobster Pot is on a jetty over the sea and the atmosphere and setting are superb.

There is a massive range of seafood to choose from. The shrimp cocktail and deep fried red snapper were excellent at a very reasonable price.

The "irish coffee makers" go a bit over the top with their bell-ringing which becomes a bit tedious after a while. However, no doubt we will be back on the next visit.

“Value for money only if you keep your eyes open”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Among the handful of seaside good seafood restaurants on Walking Street, this one is worth a visit, They do not charge corkage if you bring your own bottle, even for Moet & Chandon, and most seafood are reasonably priced. There is a seafood platter for two persons, for 1,300 baht, which is good enough for three to four persons (if you add a dish of vegetables and something else). It is also a bargain by Pattaya standards, as it include big prawns and two rock lobsters. But if you feel splashing on a king lobster, make sure they give you the one you pay for, It is easier to pay for a big one at the door, after you pick and weighed the lobsters, only to find that it had more than shrunk after its cooked. And unlike Singapore they do not put the big head and make soup. They just steal what is inside, and cover the cavity with a stale leaf of lettuce. Otherwise it is okay, waitresses are police and courteous albeit slow as expected.

“Good seafood.”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

I have been here about 10 times. The seafood served here is superb. I usually order shrimpcocktail or oysters for starter and crab or shrimp for main course. After that the special "Pattaya Irish coffee".

“Good Rock Lobster”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

The Lobster Pot is located in the heart of the "Walking Street" in Pattaya so there is a lot of very, very interesting things going on in the vicinity! However, it is a serious restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. It is built on stilt platforms above the Gulf of Thailand - there was a very pleasant breeze. I ordered the Rock Lobster in Pineapple Boat and really enjoyed it. The service was very friendly, prompt and efficient.
