If they could keep the quality and waiting time for the food at a good level I would go there more often!

If you're visiting Pattaya, Thailand a very pleasant place to have lunch is the Silverlake Wine & Grill about 10 kms from the Sukumvit in the center of Pattaya. This winery with its hectares of vineyards, artificial and natural lakes and modest tourist gardens and tours is the life's dream of Thai movie star Su Pansa and her family. After many years in development the restaurant and wine tasting center, decorated in the Italian manner, was finallly completed three years ago and has progressed very nicely. It is next door to Khao Chi Chan (Giant Buddha mountain) park, a must see tribute to King Rama IX's 60th anniversary of his reign, kept in pristine condition by the Royal Thai Navy who created this special site. The restaurant offers both Thai and European food with an emphasis on Italian cuisine, or at least a Thai interpretation of it. By far the best part of the menu are the pizzas, fresh, crisp thin-crust delights. The wine produced at Silverlake is modest and improving: the Shiraz is the best choice and it stands up very well in blind taste-testing against both moderate and high-priced US and European competitors. The white wine is thin and slightly sweet. Both are moderately priced by US/European standards but as with the restaurant they are overpriced by Thai standards... although we admit it is hard to find good cheap table wine (imported) in Thailand, even though we have started to see more and more imported Australian and Chilean wines, especially around tourist centers. The restaurant is open for dinner and events of course (wedding parties are frequent) as both Chao Chi Chan and Silverlake have evening lighting and Silverlake has an ampitheater for concerts however we find it easier to appreciate the sites in the daylight and are not fond of negotiating the winding, race course like, access road at night.

I have been coming to this Restuarant for the last several years and the one thing you could count on was good food. Came here tonight to celebrate the birthday of a special person and the food was far below average. Starting with the Ceasar salad .... The dressing was like watered down mayonnaise. The rock melon with the Parma ham was over ripe. The pizza was very average. Disappointed to say the least. Must have a new chef

Wonderful place for a weekend drive out of pattaya, superb italian food (the best in Pattaya in my opinion)
This is more of a day time restaurant, beautiful views. Night/evening not recommended the live music is too loud.
Interesting menu, Prices are not cheap but worth it for a nice meal in a great setting.
Service is a bit Thai dont expect it to be perfect. expect them to run out of menu ingredients
manager- smoked cheese always Run OUT :)

We live near this restaurant and were regular visitors until our last visit in late December 2011. It is obvious someones "greed" instinct has cut in. Yes the view is still beautiful and the service mediocre in a very Thai way as it has always been.
What has changed is the prices and quality of the food. On average we found prices had jumped by 30% and in some cases 50% since our last visit only a few months before. On the other hand the quality of the food had fallen about the same %. A prawn (shrimp) dish that was one of their best has now been reduced to 4 (yes 4) overcooked prawns covered in a tomato sauce that tasted like it had come straight out of a tin.... and all this for just 850 Baht.
Do yourself a favour and leave this place alon , there are many far better restaurants in the Pattaya area that offer beautiful views of the sunset.
