“Try taking a Scooter here”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

I loved the trip up here on the hill. Very soothing and away from the bustle of the town. Try letting the wee birds out of the cage as a blessing. I found this very serene plus I wanted to let some birds free!

“For a little spiritual escape”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

It's located at the top of the hill in Pattaya and if you are travelling free and easy, you need to hire a mini bus for 100-150 baht dependable on your bargaining skill.
It's big as describe in the title but the official thai name is wat phraw yat. there's a fewer smaller buddha along with the big ones which is the birth buddha of every month, one can make a small donation to the birth month buddha to bring good luck and fortune. Or you can actually ask for a blessing from the monk for good blessing as well

“Very Impressive Buddhist Hill Temple - Well worth visiting ..”
Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

This was the second or third time I have visited this hillside temple and the 'Big Buddha' statue. Very impressive, and well worth the visit. Try to go early morning, as it gets seriously hot, as you can imagine being at the top of a hill. Great views of surrounding Pattaya landscape as a result of this as well.

Fabulous statues, with the centre piece being 'Big Buddha'. There is a blessing by a Monk if you so choose, and also 'merit making' of releasing captive birds.

All is free of charge, but donations are expected. Your choice as to how much, of course.

All taxis, motorbike taxis and baht buses know the way, and one always ready to take you home again.

Well worth visiting.

“Nice and peaceful”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Very clean and well looked after, some building works in progress but still a well looked after and peaceful place to spend an hour. Also the stairs are not too steep so this location is in my view suitable for those who can not manage to many steep stairs
