“not upto the mark”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

the hotel looks attractive from outside, but we have face lot of service issues.
the resception staff is not atall cooperative .they have issued our room keys to other guests.without informing us..which is a blunder in a hotel industry.after requesting for the our room key they refuse to give us as they assume the other guests are with us.it took us 2 hours and 1 police complaint to sort out the probelem, there is no such thing as room service...
the bathrooms doesnt have keys..they are transperent ...a big no no for families.
rooms are new and looks ok .not worth the money we have paid..

Aya Boutique Hotel has only a great location and friendly stuff...

Swimming pool is on the 3rd floor in the shadows of walls and for the sun You mast take the elevator to the roof of Aya...

Rooms are beautiful designed but that is only...

To Walking Street You can reach in few minutes...

Hotel is an oasis around the dirty buildings, this is true...
But Aya don't have any bar in the building...
You must carry Your drinks from outer places...

It is like an European business hotel in the middle of Pattaya leisure area...

Room Tip: Only take Courtyard side rooms... On the back side, the mirror view is only a white wall and the ai...

I had the studio premiere room which I booked online through agoda for a little under 80 dollars per night (a significant savings but one has to pre-pay the entire stay, and there are no refunds given for cancellations).

I was given a room on the 5th floor at the farthest north end of the building (6th floor is a small gym as well as sun lounge area). For the price I paid the suite was well worth the money, except for the view as my balcony faced straight onto the adjacent building's white wall. The bed is firm but not uncomfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all hours of the night. Overall for what I paid I thought it was a good value, with a convenient location to all of the city hot spots.

The Good:

- For the discount I received through agoda, felt the suite was a great value. Good size, comfortable bed, hardwood floors, bathtub/shower, LCD t.v.

- Good location close to city hot spots. About 400 meters from entrance to Walking Street, right next to Royal Garden Plaza. Can also take the baht buses around the city.

- Did not experience any issues with noise at night. In fact this was one of the quietest rooms/hotels I've ever stayed at. Outside of the occasional sounds of guests walking to their rooms, nothing ever woke me up or kept me up at night. Not sure if being on the fifth floor made a difference or I was just lucky.

- Requested a non-smoking and my room did not smell of smoke (another reviewer stated there were no non-smoking rooms in this hotel).

- Being on the highest 5th floor, did not experience any issues with the air conditioner keeping the room cool. It will take a few minutes to cool down upon starting but will maintain the temperature fine (the room power goes off once you take the keycard and leave the room).

- No "fees" for guests (though there is a charge for a third party).

- Free wi-fi.

- Room safe.

The Bad:

- Wi-fi signal is exceptionally slow. One test produced a result of result of 1.04 mbps download and 1.25 mbps upload speeds. Checking e-mails and the like is fine, but watching videos on youtube is a painful chore. Also, you have to request a new user name/password each day as it resets.

- In order to get the big room price discount, you have to pre-pay the entire trip before hand, and there are no cancellation refunds allowed.

- Maid service was irregular. Some days they would clean before noon, other days it was closer to four in the afternoon. At times it seems like only certain items were replaced in the room (towels), but the sink/shower bathroom areas were not properly mopped/cleaned.

- Room A.C. can be slightly noisy, and you'll have to raise the t.v. volume up a notch. This being Pattaya, you'll have to leave the A.C. on whenever you are in the room.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the outside not facing a blank wall, you'll have to specify with hotel sta...

I booked this hotel through agoda.com and got a great price of $52. It's in the heart of Pattaya Beach area with tons of stuff to do surrounding the hotel from massages, to shopping malls, great restaurants and the beach is steps away. It's a little challenging for taxis to pull right up to the front door in the late afternoon because of the alley market right in front but my guy managed. I'll give a tip here: if you are coming from Bangkok use Mr. T's Taxi. Great service at a great price. He charges 1200 Bhat from city center including tolls and 1000 from BKK airport. His email is Mr_Ttaxi@hotmail.com He has several drivers and no charge for extra people.

I'm going to assume if you are coming to Pattaya you know what you are getting into! This is the New Orleans of Thailand. Yet, it's a close beach to Bangkok and you can relax here with great massages and good food while enjoying the ocean. And, if the seedy side of things is what you are into, you came to the right place. PLEASE, people, don't contribute to the exploitation of children and if you do, I hope you get caught and get what you gave in a Thai jail! Sorry for the bridge into the political but don't be an ugly tourist.

My room is plenty comfortable for two and there is great security here. The elevator won't work without your room card and any guest must have an ID and proof of age. Good for them for not contributing to sex trafficking of children. The front desk is really great. They place tries to have an urban chic feel to it that doesn't totally work but it's attractive enough. Step outside the door and you are into a street market. The breakfast buffet is pretty mediocre and not worth the 240 Bhat they ask if not included in your room rate. The Marriott Resort is about a block away where you can have a great breakfast (for a price) or go over to the beach and walk along in the morning or evening. For those inclined, Boyztown is about a block away with lots of bars and places to meet local and expat gay people. There is good massage at dirt cheap prices everywhere. Just go until you find the person best for you. Summary: very good hotel in a great location in a most interesting town!

Room Tip: Courtyard is quieter. Cost a little more.

Hotel location is close to walking street but unfortunately both my hubby and I are non smokers and the hotel doesn't offer smoke free floors so we had to put up with smoke coming into the room. Also very noisy hallways at all hours of the night so don't expect a good nights sleep. Breakfast basic. The staff are all lovely.
