Very impressive restaurant. Ordered the lamb rogan josh and it was served as a rack of lamb in the sauce.
The lamb was 40% inedible fat, very poor quality lamb.
I passed my comments to the waitress when she removed the plate.
On checkout had not received any response from management so asked to see the manager. The response was, "Him Gone Already".
So much for customer care, a poor experience, could not recommend this place to anybody.

Geez we haven't been to the Mantra (easily what WAS one of the best restaurants in Pattaya Jomtien Region) for a few years but when our friend suggested it for an important business dinner we all said Of Course!
I didn't even check TA or Google as to the TONS of BAD reviews for Mantra lately because we thought it surely couldn't drop too much from its lofty heights.
WE WERE WRONG BIG TIME!
The place was almost empty when we arrived @ 19:30 on a SATURDAY NIGHT where millions of people were arriving from BKK to enjoy the international fireworks competition! Red Flag #1!!
Red Flag #2 was that with the restaurant nearly empty, the waiting area we chose for pre-dinner drinks and snax was still not cleaned of food and plates and glasses etc from the previous customers (there was 3-4 tables occupied in the restaurant and some 20 staff waltzing around checking their facebook pages!)
Red Flag #3 was whilst we were waiting for our friends, we tried several times to get the attention of the waiting staff to order drinks and snax was quite difficult. Remember at this time there was as many staff in the place as there were customers! It took strenuous efforts by us!
No More RED Flags! By the time we had attracted the attention (interrupting their facebook-time) of the staff to ask for seating at any of the only 15% full, tables in the main restaurant we finally got sorted. We had business to discuss so at least they DID supply us with menus immediately but that would the last thing we got efficiently.
But they soon left us and indeed my wife had to ask for bread rolls and water.

Latter through the dinner we were left alone as the meals eventually came after some 40 mins. Imagine if they were busy?? The place had emptied out and genuinely we were almost the only table left but I personally had to stand up and walk out into the middle of the restaurant and start waving my hands to try and attract the attention of the 20+ staff swanning around doing their own thing.

Eventually, they served dessert and I ordered a chocolate souffle and they delivered a chocolate cake and when I complained they said that the kitchen's excuse was that it was a "Restaurant Style" souffle are they kidding?? cake is not souffle! this was a TOTAL SCAM. Anyhow, so we reluctantly paid the 11,000++ bill for what was a Flocking horrible Dining Experience and Terrible dinner for 5x people and will NEVER EVER EVER return to any Amari restaurant or resort EVER EVER AGAIN!

Very Sorry to say I’ve been using this restaurant for 8-9 years and they’ve recently changed the management and staff and it’s gone rapidly downhill, they’ve increased the wine buffet and reduced the selection too 2 whites 2 Reds and 1 sparkling and the service is not good, I sincerely hope the management read this report and hopefully they’ll improve things and I’ll start using it again
