“Fairly average really.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

I visited the Secret Buddha Garden as part of a larger tour. I was basically a lot of concrete statues around a small creek. I appreciate that it was a lot of work for one man over a long period of time, but that doesn't add anything to it for me. The access is down many stairs and then you jump back and forth over the creek. It looked peaceful enough, which it would still do without the statues.

“A long way for a 10 minute visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

This is quite a drive from anywhere. The entrance is 80 baht a person so not really expensive. It is a cool and tranquil place, but in need of some TLC. Everything is covered in green algae so can be slippery. If you are exploring the island, its a good pitstop for some cooler air.

“Interesting place in the mountains”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

If you like the idea of visiting a mountain in the gardens then head to the magic garden. It's an interesting place with many statues and a small waterfall, lots of great photo opportunities especially if you like doing funny poses with statues! It's only 80baht entry and it also has a nice little shop on site. It's not the best place I've ever been to but it's something different to see while on Samui.

Take your map and if you notice a military stoppage as you head up the hill you're in the right place. When u get to the fork in the road turn right! Enjoy!

“take your map”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

If you are going by your own transport you will need a map, half the fun is finding it. The mountain is worth exploring and take your swimming things as you will also find swimming pools up there and a bird and animal park

“TRULY a Magical, Etherial, Spiritual little haven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

Had the pleasure of exploring this little gem, which was part of a tour, what a fantasy like in the middle of incredible nature, display of creativity. I felt like a little kid exploring all the cool sculptures, bridges, carvings, all set in this mystical forest setting with a brook, bridges, and incredible stonework throughout. It inspired me so much, that I got to take a multitude of really beautiful, creative photographs. The story about HOW this little place became what it is , is incredibly impressive, the man had a special heart to create this little sanctuary. I could have stayed for hours, there is so much to see, the husband and I will go next week again, as he wasn't with me on the last trip in November. Kab Kuhn Kah to the wonderful man who built this magical place to share with all of us !
