The beach various in width and when the tide is in parts disappear altogether. The sand has a great deal of small pebbles and coral in it and bare feet can be a bit painful. There are many hotels and boarding houses along the beach front and some are quite run down. The usual array of massage decks are dotted along the beach and a few fishing boats are here and there.
The sea was not that clean on the days we were there and although the water is shallow the many rocks around make it difficult to walk in the water.
Not my favourite but not the worst - seems safe.
