“A bit lacking in any charm”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Walked through during the day, expecting things to improve. Nope. Usual souvenir shops, a myriad of scooter rentals, tattoo parlours, tailors, some very tacky 'massage' parlours, well worn bars and either a local Durian frenzy or very bad drains. Probably the latter. Not typical of the real Thailand, but sadly all too familiar in many tourist areas.

I really didn't fancy eating here. Any where. I'm told it's better than Chaweng, but that may be the 'better' of a choice between a slap or a punch in the face. Avoid unless you are expecting the previously described.

Discerning traveller, you have been warned!

“Chilled”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Nice and chilled beach. When you arrive it states that parking is for hotel guests only, but anyone can go in.
We bought some beers and chilled under the trees reading and sleeping. Lovely beach to swim

“Average”
Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

Ok beach. Sand is quite coarse, not powdery. Parts of it are filthy with litter and plastic bags in the water. Other parts are better maintained. I can't understand why there is nobody cleaning up. Overall a bit disappointing. There's far nicer closer to home (Europe). Pretty pricey around for drinks around too although Chaweng is even dearer!

“Very good spot to hangout”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

We spent few nights in Lamai and definitely wanted to spend some days on the beach. The beach is nice with really good old school cafe and restaurant where you can have grilled seafood and fish.
The price are really decent if you compare with other location in samui.
