When in Koh Samui, definately go and see the mumified monk. He has been there from 1973 when he died. at the age of 79 years. His body has remained under composed. Sadly
his eyes fell out some time ago! Problem solved! He now where sunnies.

We stopped in as part of our tour and you can see him clearly. The monks are there to talk to and get "lucky" beads.

A mummified monk that sits in a glass casing that hasn't disinergrated.Believe it or not! Some one has placed sunglasses over his eyes because they looked eerie! There is a plaque there explaining his existance!

I was too squeamish to look at the monk properly but the grounds are nice and lively. Be careful when you go to the bathroom; the dogs in the temple compound like to go into the stalls and lie on the cool floors.

Brilliant. As soon as we entered, the monks came out to greet us. they sat with us, lit candles with us and gave us all tie-bracelets.
