Nice pub at Koh Samui airport, very decent pint of Kilkenny!

Definitely worth a visit for an ice cold beverage, didnt have any food though which is mainly ham and cheese toasties or paninis.

Thank Mark S

This is truly one of the nicest pubs on Samui. Worth popping in almost anytime to enjoy an icy cold draught beer and surprisingly good food. I can highly recommend the liver and bacon, and also the hamburgers.
Unlike the main tourist areas, Nathon is a slow paced town with a real Thai feel about it, and well worth a visit. Tropical Murphy's is well located in the centre (opposite the police station), a great place to chill and a good base for me to watch the world go by while my wife shops.Spotless toilets, and no problems to get a park either. Perfect.

This new venue to the Murphy's chain is in the idea spot, in Nathon, for watching the world go by, while you sit, have a drink and relax.
They serve well presented, excellent food from a small menu of stock favourites. Although the place is open earlier, the kitchen does not open until 0900hrs, so you may not catch an early breakfast, but the Irish fry is worth waiting for.

I went a few months back when it first opened as i own a villa 5 mins away in the hills and wanted to see if this place could be recommended to my guests when they were all Thai-fooded-out. . It definitely hit the spot, the beers are great, the food was a huge uptick on expectations and the chilled ambiance of watching life drift by the window outside with a bit of live rugby on was fantastic.. . You can get cheaper beers obviously (Singha, Lao etc) but you expect to pay a bit more in a nicer pub. The food was great, i had a chicken baguette which looked a bit small when it arrived, but did the job and was very very tasty, more to the point. (Yes i could have eaten 2 but that's not unusual for me!). . And the different sports on the tv's were great, hardly any sound so as not to disturb the atmosphere for those dining in peace. . Yes, this place works very well, it will see many of my guests (well, the husbands waiting for the endless shopping to cease), and i for one wish it all the very best.

A couple of chilled Singha beers is easy, but the staff were on a go slow this morning, too much chitter chatter amongst themselves, then try getting a second beer, well the gossip must have been good. Nonetheless, the beers were chilled and there was stack of change so cannot grumble on that level.
