I cannot believe people have given this place good ratings. It was completely horrible. The adult tiger you can have a picture with is drugged, they throw the baby tiger at you for two seconds, take a photo then throw it back in the cage. The enclosures are tiny, the animals are clearly distressed and show signs of neglect (ie their coats, teeth etc don't look clean or healthy). The entire place smelled of urine, which suggests they don't keep the animals or enclosures very clean and the only pools/water in the tiger enclosures were chlorinated, meaning they couldn't drink it. The cats were all clearly overheating and had hardly any shade. Very expensive at 1,900 baht per person and not at all worth it. Very sad and I can't believe places like this are allowed to exist. Clearly just exploiting beautiful animals and mistreating them just to make money. How disgusting. Left about half an hour after we got there and seriously felt like crying. Was completely mislead by other reviews on here. Do not go here!

A great afternoon out, especially when the rain came in! Value for money, lots to see. Definitely get there in the afternoon; 1.30pm was the sea lion show and 2.30pm was the tiger and bird show. We fed a baby bengal tiger cub, and this experience was amazing! You do pay extra for this but it is sooo worth it - do it and enjoy!

I can't recommend this place at all. The aquarium is depressing, almost completely unlit and totally without signage of any kind. Not even name plates to identify the animals. They cram several large cats into a small display area with a sign saying that this isn't their permanent enclosure. The animals are obviously stressed, pacing back and forth and lunging at the bars.

Saying that it's a zoo in Thailand and that it can't be held to Western standards is a very poor excuse to let this sort of thing continue so that you can go hold a baby tiger and take a picture home. You don't get animals to jump through flaming hoops through loving and caring. You get them to do it by inducing fear. All the tiger handlers had riding crops that they waved around and the animals would slink by them, cowering.

Hold them to a higher standard, don't support this.

After reading soo many bad reviews i was contemplating whether or not to bother going, but i'm glad i did!

I don't know what people expect! The tigers were not as badly sedated as some of these reviews suggest & as some of the others i've heard about and seen in zoo's in other parts of Thailand.
I'm sure you wouldn't want to get a photo with a tiger that wasn't under control. They have to be sedated to a certain extent for your safety, so unless you want to be eaten alive maybe
consider that!

The Aquarium and zoo is quite good! Yes the staff rush you a bit.. but there is no waiting in long lines and the day is not dragged out! You get to see the baby tiger (who i thought was a little energetic/playful - couldn't believe they just let him jump on our lap!)

They take a quick photo but of great quality! They will also take pictures on your own camera as well. :) The photo is included if you opt for package B which is 500 baht extra. And that includes pictures of all the animals there. Yes it seemed a little bit pricey, but considering you get to watch 2 great shows, lunch and photos with all of the animals i thought it was well worth it!

Fried rice for lunch was great as well! Worth the upgrade lol!

the restaurant is set in an ideal location just back from the beach. the food is Thai with a few European snacks like club sandwiches. the location is perfect with a quite unspoiled beach with cooling sea breezes. the service is quick, the food is tasty and it is not expensive.
perfect so whats the catch ?? the management want you to eat there but will not let you cross their grounds even when you explain your desire to try their food. they are adamant and insist that you walk along the public access to the beach then approach their establishment from the beach. it is worth the effort for the location but the altercation with the zoo staff in trying to get there left a bad taste before we started. i invite the management response....hence the poor review.....
