“Pretty area, not too crowded”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

We stopped by the waterfalls on our drive around the island. There is an area to take pictures and buy souveniers. The only cost for us was parking (less than $1). Nice place to stop off if you are in the area.

“Elephant Trecking”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

We went elephant trecking in the jungle, a great experience if you have always wanted to do this, there are other things to do here should you want to, cost around 500 bhats each, not including photos.

“Go to the beach instead”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Always one to avoid tours wherever possible we called in here while cruising around Samui on our rental scooter, thinking the waterfall may be impressive as it was the end of the wet season...wrong! As we rode up to the car park we were overtaken by 4wd's packed with tourists all yelling and squealing like riding in the back of a truck was the most exciting thing they had ever encountered, we travelled on arrived at the car park (no issues with being charged or told to move on as others have mentioned) and no hard sell of any other "attractions" in the area (safari park, elephant rides and zip lines) I was appalled at the elephant rides, the same tourists yelling and screaming as the mahouts rode the weary bored animals around the hot dusty car park area and forced them to perform tricks for the punters travel snaps. We moved quickly through the tourist trap zone, I did buy some bananas to feed the elephants as I adore these magnificent animals and thought the least I could do was buy them a snack. We walked up the track, and yes it is a steep trek as tracks to waterfalls generally are and it was standard Asian style, not that well maintained, slippery, and altogether a bit dodgy. We were charged to go to the waterfall 2 as it is in the "tropical gardens" (gardens being quite an overstatement for a restaurant, a pond and a few plants) it wasn't much ( about 50 baht from memory) and we did get 2 free bottles of water. We trekked on and came upon the waterfall which essentially is a cliff face with a small amount of water cascading to a tiny pond. We didn't even bother heading to waterfall 1, went down got back on the bike and found a quite beach (yes there are quite beaches on this side of Samui) and went for a swim there. Head here only if you want to feed and pat elephants as for the rest of the "attractions" give them a miss and just go to the beach!!!

“Refreshing!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

We drove in and meandered down to the waterfall before stripping off and going for a swim at the base of the waterfall which was so refreshing in the humidity. Also got to buy some mangosteens! Delicious!

“Got to be done”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

The water fall was worth visiting but you have to do the elephant ride,it was a bit scary riding on the elephants head but an amazing experience. The guy with the elephant had my wife's phone off her and got some very good photo's of us. Worth the money and tips the official photographer for 300 baht got two very good pictures.
