Despite the place does not look too busy or crowded most of the time (there is nothing in English outside to invite foreigners), it serves the best food - both Thai and Dim Sum which I have discovered as the yummiest stuff you easily get addicted to. The place is very clean, the staff speaks good English and is always very neat and friendly. Dim Sum is so good - just from the huge steam pots- you cannot simply have enough (I always tend to order one more helping). The big Samui Buns they also cook remind me of Buryat/Mongolian buuz. These are are soft and come with sour soy sauce, can have two or more at one go without feeling heavy. Their Thai menu covers the best Thai musts like Tom Yam, Coconut Soup, Noodle Soup, Sweet and Sour Veggies , Sea Food salad and other dishes a la carte. The place may look like lacking that specific Thai couleur locale but that probably explains its exceptional cleanness and tidiness :) My favourite place in Lamai so far.

Having gotten used to excellent dim sum abroad, the frozen super market option wasn't appealing. Finally, on Samui, I found a gem! Dim Sum King makes their dim sum fresh daily and no MSG! It's delicious! The chef is really creative, making a wide range of selections, including artful little masterpieces that catch the eye, too! (My daughter's favorite is the chocolate porcupine) The locale is cozy with red tablecloths and bamboo lining the walls but you can take away too or order ahead to have an event catered. Nice option on the island.

A simple little restaurant covered with bamboo walls, red table cloths, bamboo steamers, open kitchen.... Didn't expect much (was thinking just to fill our stomach and satisfy the craving of Chinese food). Oh my! I was wrong, totally! Yes, the restaurant is very simple but the dim sum are so so amazing! We ate so much as the dim sum were just too good! We would recommend the BBQ pork bun, shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling (they could make pot sticker too!), crab stick siu Mai, spring roll, carrot shrimp dumpling, steam-fried bun, salad shrimp dumpling and dragon ball! We did eat a lots hey! But they are really good, and they don't add any MSG in the dim sum.
With all the above we had, we spent probably 10euro or less, with drinks and tips to the staff :)
We strongly recommend Dim Sum King for all Chinese food or dim sum lovers!

It's hard to find Chinese food on Koh Samui as all known. We found it finally! Apparently Dim Sum King is new on the island. They just opened 2-3 months ago. We are so glad that we found them, the dim sum here are so tasty and fresh, not like those you would find in the freezer of any supermarket or convenient stores.
We talked to the owner, they apparently do not put any msg or artificial flavors to make them tasty. Wow! That's healthy! Hate MsG! They also make the dim sum all from scratch themselves, even the dumpling skins!!! How lovely...

Ok, I would like to recommend their four seasons dumpling, hagao, char siew bao (BBQ pork bun) and the classical siu Mai too! They are really yummy and pretty :)
