“always getting bigger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

this temple is expanding weekly
and has a large lake behind it where you can feed the local fish
many of the buildings are over the water and the main temple has a huge roof of shining tiles that sparkle in the moonlight like millions of stars
a new toilet block will encourage more tourists to visit by the bus load
and like most temples in thailand has a working crematorium

“A Stop on From Big Buddha”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2012

Once you've been to The Big Buddha go down the road and make another stop at Wat Plai Laem.
It's a nice stop on the tourist trail with a beautiful temple and another large Buddha statue.

There's not a whole lot more I can add that others haven't already said about the place, though you will find it's not full of people trying to sell you things so it is a nice relaxing place to visit, as it should be.

There are signs asking people not to enter certain areas within the temples, I noticed a lot of people ignoring these, people need to be mindful of the Buddhist culture, the monks and their customs when visiting their temples.

“Worth a stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

You're not going to stay there very long. But surely worth a stop. Beautiful tempel and the "Buddhas" you see are huge and beautiful. Here you can take for sure good pictures.
