“Pure bliss”

We have been to several massage / spa places in several countries, and this was by far the best. You get to spend 1.5 hrs in the steam rooms and plunge pools, get served a beautiful vegan meal and then have a choice of 3 massage treatments. Most people go for the hot thai herbs treatment which lasts 2.5hrs. It was incredible. I have never been more relaxed, the treatment flew past as I was in and out of consciousness. At the end of the treatment I was pleasantly surprised with a very cute braided hairdo! So clean, so professional and so worth the money - 5,500 BHAT, just over £100. Amazing.

“Perfect place to relax”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

We enjoyed a Forest Dream package at Tamarind Springs which included a 1.5hr steam/rock pools, 2.5hr massage service and a light lunch. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome in the tranquil surrounds of the spa. The steam and rock pools were invigorating - the herbal steam and body scrub the highlights. The massage took place in a covered but open hut in the rainforest and exceeded expectations - a clear difference in the training, technique and expertise of our therapists to the thousands available elsewhere (of which we have sampled many now). There is also a clear difference in price but it is worth the money and we will be back next time.

“Worth the price-once in a lifetime”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2013 via mobile

I came here with my mum and two sisters in law as a girls day away from the men. It was perfect. The attention to detail is incredible and make you feel like royalty.
The spa is set in stunning grounds with massive rock formations making the steam rooms and rock pools. You are left to your own devices to go between the steam, rock pools and scrub and steam rooms, all set between stunning trees and surrounded by nature. You are then collected by your masseuse and taken to a open platform high up the hill where you can have your treatment looking out to the forests. The massages are fab and the masseuse is attentive and really works on areas you request. I had full body massage and reflexology and could not recommend either enough - firm massage and really relaxed me.
Afterwards you are treated to a delicious snack of fresh rolls and pineapple and left to enjoy the grounds.
Expensive definitely but as a one off it is worth it. Better to go with friends as if you pay over a certain amount yo get a complimentary car to pick you up and drop you back to your hotel.

Without a doubt the best spa experience I have ever had. Tranquil setting with phenomenal views and sounds.
The massage is the best - if you do go you have to have a massage - unforgettable experience!

“Nice spa”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013

This was most nice spa I ever saw in my life but super super expensive and massage no better than I had in street massage shop around Chaweng. I think better find nice nature for free and get cheap massage separate.

TamarindForestSpa, Marketing & Business Development Manager at Tamarind Springs Forest Spa, responded to this review, January 13, 2014
Dear visitor,

Thank you for leaving your feedback here. At Tamarind Springs we take great pride in exceptional massage and customer service, as well as in the magical surroundings and facilities that make our forest spa so unique. Thank you for your compliment that we are 'the nicest spa you have ever been to'. I agree that Samui still offers plenty of beautiful nature, some of it is more difficult to find and access though. There are also many inexpensive massage places on the island, especially on the beaches.

We strive to provide our guests with a combination of well integrated natural surroundings and exceptional massage treatments.

All our therapists are carefully selected, have extensive experience, are highly trained to international standards, and all of them command skills and techniques far above those found in the average street massage shop. Having said this all massage experiences contain a subjective element and depend on the needs and perceptions of the massage recipient, on his /her condition at the time of the massage, as well as on the ability of the therapist to respond to those needs. Despite the overwhelming customer reactions we hear every day, occasionally a massage may not induce the same exceptional responses in a visitor. We are always open to any comments and responses to any specific techniques and treatments that were experienced as inferior to others.

Thank you again for leaving this review and rest assured we endeavour continually to improve all aspects of the Tamarind Springs Forest Spa experience.
