“Quaint”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

We were looking for a place where we could have lunch at leisure with a drink or two and this provided the perfect place for that.

The owner is an expat and is quite friendly. The staff will make the dishes to your preference and there are tonnes of books in this restaurant that you could read there, spend an afternoon. You could also play pool or simply watch TV. It provides a perfect place where nobody would disturb you in your reverie.

It offers free WIFI and the staff is unintrusive. The service does get a bit slow but given their objective of letting a free space for people to hang around, it goes well.

The two times we went, we never ordered from the menu, but, we just told him what we wanted with our specifics on what to avoid and it was made pretty much the way we had asked him to. Would I go back again? Definitely!

“Delightful ex-pat bar with cute canines”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

A well-run British ex-pat bar, with a wide selection of dishes and drinks. Not especially cheap but not expensive, and the food was pretty tasty. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and a table overlooking the street gives you a great chance to people-watch at all times of day while you wait for your meal. A highlight of our visit was little LingLing the puppy - an adorable little ball of fluff that probably generated a fair bit of business as it bounded around the street outside! That's definitely not to put down the competence of both the waiting staff and the people in the kitchen - we returned several times for both drinks and food. A very nice spot in Chaweng.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Went based on a lonely planet review but were disappointed by a rather average experience. Food was pub food, not particularly fast, and prices weren't overly cheap.

Reviewed May 2, 2013

We came across this bar run by an Englishman from Portsmouth. He was lovely and very helpful. Have us some good tips. Drinks were great and we lived me noodle the dog. We would definitely go back and even stay at there accommodation next time :-)

“A great little friendly bar”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

An Aladdin's cave of a cafe to while away the hours with a good book. There are 100's of books you can borrow for free and the staff there are all very warm, fun and friendly. Food was good and the place is always busy so must be one of the "in places to go". Fun in the evenings too with lots of screens to watch anything you fancy and good party atmosphere abounds with the British hosts making sure you enjoy your stay. They recommended and booked us an afternoon Sunset boat trip from Fisherman's village that was a wonderful and magical way to spend the afternoon.
Highly recommended.
