This is one of the islands best kept secrets. Honest to goodness food with the freshest ingredients. Inexpensive and great service.

“Should have tried it on the first night.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

The food was great and they did not add on any VAT tax or service charges so you knew the exact price. We enjoyed the food more than the 5 island restaurant and for about half the price. The Ingredients seemed fresher than anywhere else especially the vegetables which were crisp and tasty.

“Koh Samui's number 1 "Must Do!"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012 via mobile

Of the 15 meals we had on the island nothing came close to this one. This is not fine dining it's all about the food here. I'll happily trade white table cloths for the craftsmanship that goes into this cooking anytime. The Penang curry is not to be missed, nether are the tempura prawns. Every table around us had given up on chit chat and was speaking about how good each mouthful was. Oh that Tom Yum soup every mouthful delighted in the fresh herbs and wonderful spices that went to creating a masterpiece.

If the food is not enough the service is special, lead by David the owner who was such fun and so kind to our two children. Their moist tempura chicken and chips had me reaching across to compete with a kids meal. David makes a mean kids spaghetti when his wife lets him in the kitchen. Forget the fancy chefs who's faces appear on billboards all over the Island (particularly the bizarre one with a fish draped over his shoulder) this is the place not to miss!

Thanks David for being so kind to our kids and taking a US$50 note from an Aussie too.

“So good we went twice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2012

David the owner will direct you through the menu & recommend dishes. My husband had the fish with tamarind sauce & said it was absolutely delicious. I had the penang duck - very rich but delicious. On our second visit I had red curry - very very nice too. Worth the drive to this restaurant but do book. Both nights we went the place was full!
