We got there by bike from Lamai beach. There were three of us - two adults and our child. The way was not difficult. We passed a sort of a military base and the gap in the road where we got off the bike and my husband rode it along the path. After this place the road was very easy with several average slopes up and down. There is another way to this place (past The Magic Garden) but it is more difficult.
The territory of the farm is very beautiful. It was built on a quite steep descent of the mountain, and there are a lot of beautiful paths and stairways with beautifully located pavilions, benches or even swings here and there. Our daughter liked parrots and cute little rabbits that you can take into your hands and take pictures absolutely for free (which is not very common for Thailand nowadays). One can also get into cages (for example with lots of little parrots which sit upon your head, hands and shoulders if you like).
And one of the best experiences is the swimming pool with an absolutely stunning view of the island and the sea. There is a shower and changing rooms near it.
They also have a cafe.
It is a great place to visit!

Thank Ann M

This is a nice place to visit with kids. If you are without the young ones - do not go ! Otherwise, plan a half day there to check all animals, have a stroll around a zoo and a swim in a pool (take you swimmers !). A lunch could be also nice with a great view down over the gulf ...
As we traveled in rented car cannot comment on the cost of getting there by taxi but if you are following our path (ie renting a car) - this place could be (and should be !) combined with the Secret Garden which is just a few minutes away.

Normally tourists are located at the beaches, this place is in the middle of island. Nothing special really to spend 40 min getting there and then, if you haven't agreed with the driver for pick up, to have no means of getting off that mountain that you are at. Plan it only as part of the bigger package, or don't do it at all.

Well kept and loved animals, beautiful gardens en gorgeous pool! The note at the ticket booth can be a bit depressing as one is requested not to complain about the entry price....:) But on the overall a great place to get away from beach and sun.
