Stayed in Villa La Moon in January 2012 (Superior Sea View Villa). My room was on the top of the cliff very close to restaurant and the reception area and the sea view from the room was stunning. You could hear the sound of the waves from your bedroom at night and it was absolutely relaxing. The bathroom was large and spacious - although as with most hotels in Samui, hot water is actually warm water.
Welcome drink was great and the hotel staff was friendly. The selection of the menus were limited but served some great food. If you want to enjoy the best seafood Samui could offer, you could always visit next door where there is a large seafood restaurant overlooking the cliff.
Only drag is that the beach(? - or should I say, the access to sea water) is a bit of a journey through stiff stair descending to the rocks. Swimming pool is small and basic. I wasn't particularly looking to swim-swim so that was okay but those looking to have a relaxing day on the beach then this place may not be suitable.
Overall, a very nice and relaxing place to stay. Those looking for calmness, views and tranquility, may worth a try.More
