Just basic beach bunaglows with hot shower, aircon, fridge, safe, tv its all you need to have a nice holiday

The OP has a nice garden to walk through the beach and the restaurant was nice situated at the beach where sometimes I had my lunchs
Is closed to the main road with lots of restaurants, shops, massage salons, seven eleven

Stay here 9 nights and it was fine :)

PS: you have to pay for the WIFI (I paid 150 BTH) -> the WIFI connection was not so good, did get better WIFI @ restaurants
You als have to pay deposit of 330 BTH for the lock of safe and at checking out the you will receive 300 BTH back

the rooms were a good size and had everything you need, the grounds of the hotel are nice.
the beach is ok, but the area is within the lagoon and it's very shallow so no good for swimming.
all the staff were friendly and very helpful, although the massage ladies on the beach were very annoying.
Good quiet location and a nice walk along takes you along the busy main street.

Room Tip: garden view rooms were a nice size and had everything we needed.

we stayed here also only a few nights, as there is no pool and the noise from the starting aircrafts can be enormously, beginning at 6am.
The beach has good sand with sunbeds and chairs, BUT closer to the sea there is a lot of rubbish of all kind! The staff doesn’t clean it up. Swimming is rather impossible, too flat and murky, swampy. Even jetskis are speeding here through! Looks like a small lagoon and the smell is like sewage!!
There are massage places in front with overfriendly welcome ceremonies. Every second you hear in thai-english: “have a nice day”. That sucks after a while. Further right handside is a volleyball court, mostly professionals. Nice to watch.
dogs are living here from the resort-owner. They can do what they want. AND they like to defecate just next to your sunbeds!!??!! That doesn’t bother the chinese owner.
The rooms are okay, a bit dated, some refurbished.
we have visited lamai, much better. wont come back.

Gorgeous grounds and lovely bungalows, well placed to the north of Chaweng beach so a bit quieter then some of the other resorts, but well within walking distance of the nightlife. But just what you want if you want to relax.

We wanted to stay for a couple of days but ended up staying a few more days.

Management look after you and are very efficient. Worth asking to check out the different bungalow options before you decide. They have a lovely restaurant by the beach with a friendly family offering massages to passers by. I would definately go back.

Well I started off badly with this hotel but it got better during my stay. Firstly at check in I was amazed at the 'extra' charges. After being told the room rate I was charged for a key deposit, a padlock deposit - that was not fully refunded -, wifi charges etc etc. I expected there to be a charge for the air but that apparently was free.
I don't think that the hotel owners were Thai and believe they might be Chinese which would explain the extra fees. In my experience the Chinese love a bargain but don't actually like giving one. Anyway back to the hotel...
The rooms are spotlessly clean and are serviced every day. The gardens are very nice and the hotel is right on the beach. There are sun loungers for hotel guests use that can be put on the beach under the sun or under the shade of the trees.
The food that I had in the hotel was nice and the fruit shakes are very good. Over all it was a relaxing time.
I have to say though that I really do not see the attraction of Koh Samui or Cheweng Beach at all. I really wanted to like it but it was tacky and the main street absolutely stank of sewerage. There are these trucks that go round town in a constant loop blasting out the theme from rocky and advertising the Thai boxing. All day and all night. One day there was even a boat going along the beach with the same theme. And following that there was an English guy with a megaphone walking along the beach advertising a wet t shirt competion on a certain bar that night. Dear oh dear.
So thanks O P Bungalows but I won't be back. Cheweng is a hole.

We intially only wanted to stay for two nights and then travel to Koh Tao but instead changed from a bungalow at 950 B to one for 1300B/day at OP. The second one was quite newly renovated and only a little more expensive for a lot more style and higher standard. In the end we stayed there for 2 weeks! The tropical garden is just paradise-like. The restaurant is quite good, but there are better ones very close by. For example the one right next to the resort, on the right: superb! If you walk towards the street you pass another bungalow resort, Rattana. Their restaurant is great too, very simple though - but great for a snack and with very friendly staff.
The beach is very nice, powderfine sand, but the water level is very low. I dont know if this is like this all year round. However if you take a little walk along the beach you quickly reach higher water levels. We didnt consider this walk a problem, on the contrary, we enjoyed being not in the very center of the party-life and still having all the restaurants and liveliness close by.
