Stayed for six days as part of our annual escape from the European winter. The staff were super-helpful and pointed us to a very good cooking school. Enjoyed the hotel and Chiang Mai so much, we'll be back.

The 2 bedroom family suite was huge and well-appointed; the grounds of the resort are absolutely lovely and lush and elegant; the staff are very kind and attentive and helpful, and the restaurant is excellent! The crib provided for our baby was safe and clean.
P.S.: the jacuzzi isn't, it's a bathtub with jets, but that's ok...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 nights on our recent trip to chiang mai. We stayed in a 1 bedroom jacuzzi suite for 4 nights and a deluxe room for 5 nights. The suite room was large with a bedroom, lounge room, small kitchen, dressing room and a large bathroom. The suite was lovely and spacious. The deluxe room was nice with just a bedroom and bathroom. The hotel toiletries are lovely and are able to be purchased from reception.
Breakfast was fantastic. You are able to have eggs, waffles, pancakes etc all to order. This hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the night bazaar but we didn't mind. If we return to chiang mai we would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stay at the Shewe Wana Boutique Resort and Hotel our last night in Chiang Mau and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable. We had a room in the garden area which while small was very comfortable. If I were staying here more than a couple of days I would get one of the villa rooms that are larger. We had a early morning train to Chiang Mai and as promised the hotel shuttle was on time to make sure we arrived in plenty time to catch the train. The hotel has a shuttle service to the night bazaar and a spa on site.

Lovely resort in Centre of city with greenery, orchids and water everywhere. Suites are very spacious and lunch in their cafe was very good. Hotel provides free airport pickup and taxi to night market in the evening.

Room Tip: Some rooms are rather dark because of the planting. Chose one on first or second floors

Our family (kids 11 and 13) enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The fact it was a little out of the centre (15 minute walk or short tuktuk) was actually an attraction to us. You could go to the craziness of the night markets but escape back when you wanted.
We had a 2 bedroom which was spacious and overlooked the pool on the second floor - decorated in a more traditional style. Beds are very firm along with the couches so take some getting used to. Breakfast had a good selection that could be ordered so something for everyone.
However, what sets this boutique hotel apart is it's service. When you arrive, the hotel does not look very special from the front. However, you will be met by smiles and a one of the friendliest and most professional teams you will come across. This is the reason the hotel must receive such high ratings and we would recommend it to others for this reason.

My first time in Chiang Mai. We had a royal suite by the pool which was a huge room with large master bedroom with ensuite and a spacious lounge area. Nothing to fault. Really was a great room at a pretty reasonable price.

Disagree with some others comments about location. If you've done some research you already have a good idea that this is not a centrally located hotel. It's an easy 10 minute tuk tuk to the old city area and roughly 20 mins or more to areas like Nimman - which is a trendier shopping district with good bars and so on. I booked the hotel for that reason; that it was a little more out of the way. Staff are efficient and friendly. The breakfast is great. Either continental or order off a large menu for no extra charge.

If you want to be surrounded by options right outside the hotel, then this is not the place for you. There is not much to see or do on the street the hotel is on. You need to tuk tuk somewhere, but that's part of the fun I say.

I was impressed by the fact that as we were checking out, one of the staff noticed me looking at a gift pack of hotel lotions, shampoos etc. I went to put it back and she promptly retrieved it from the shelf and gave it to me and just said...."this is with compliments" A very nice touch I thought.

I would recommend staying here if the location is not an issue.
