We could not recommend the Shewe Wana Resort more highly! Beautiful rooms, lovely complimentary products (so much so, I bought bottles to bring home with me).

The staff were friendly, super helpful and nothing was too much to ask and their help on things to do and booking tours to taxi's was a pleasure for them to do for us.

The rooms are beautiful and we took 3 teenagers, 10, 12, and 14, and stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a roll out bed for the boy, the 2 girls shared a king bed. 2 bathrooms also made life easier!

The kids loved the pool loved the staff and loved our time in Chiang Mai. We would go back and stay here in a heart beat.

Room Tip: All rooms were great... Beds are hard but we found that all through Thailand and Malaysia so if you like soft take something with you for these countries. One lady told us she travels with a blow up pool mattress!!

Beautiful boutique resort, very friendly staff, nice rooms and away from all the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed our stay. This is definitely a great alternative if you don't want to stay in the bigger hotels.

Good:
Beautiful garden style decor
Huge rooms
Good service
Great Spa

Bad:
Location 15 min walk from old town ( although there is a free tuk in evening)
Main thing was we paid a LOT extra for a suite with a jacuzzi because it was my wife's birthday.
It was only a small bath with bubble jets, not possible to fit two people in, rather defeating the point of a birthday jacuzzi! The private balcony had a view of some waste ground and a petrol station.

The standard sized rooms were huge anyway with nice balcony view so def save money and don't get a suite.

Regret moving from my previous hotel (de Naga) since all I get in this hotel is a broken chair that injured my back, room service that closed at 8 pm and on off WIFI that requires me to log in every 3 minutes.. lovely hotel but don't judge the book from its cover since I also need a good service and a satisfying facilities. Not sure if I want to reccomend this to my 4 friends who want to bring their family to Chiang Mai in April.

My partner and I and our 18 year old son stayed in 2 adjoining rooms at this wonderful resort. The approach to the hotel is rather unattractive, on a busy dusty road lined with motorcycle repair shops and shops. But the moment you turn in the driveway, the noise is gone and you're in an oasis in the jungle. There is an attractive reception area with an adjoining restaurant, and then paths through the foliage to lovely rooms in low 1 and 2 story buildings. We stayed in 2 of the more modest rooms, but they were very attractive with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and air conditioning. There are 2 swimming pools nestled in orchid-lined foliage. Breakfast, which is included, is served in an outdoor area or the indoor space by reception and consists of a lovely buffer with fruit, cereal, toast, juice, and coffee, and there are Thai and western egg dishes, pancakes, and waffles to order. They offer various spa treatments which we did not partake in, but just being there felt like being at a spa. They offer free transfers to and from the airport and nightly one-way shuttle service to the night bazaar. There are many staff members circulating at all times and they were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Our only tiny criticism is that there was very little closet or bureau space for unpacking into, but in the great scheme of things, it feels almost petty to say that. We stayed for 3 nights and would go back there in a minute.

Room Tip: There are more luxurious suites that we did not stay in. We were in rooms 17 and 18 near the pool, which were lovely.
