“Lovely place, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2013

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon on September, 2013.
The hotel is lovely, is all green, filled with flowers, sculptures, fountains and small details here and there.
The service is amazing. The decoration on the bed for our honeymoon when we arrived was beautiful!
We stayed in a small room and then moved to a suite, it is completely worth it, their suites are great and completely value for money.
The pool is nice. The breakfast is really good, especially their cappuccino that is made in a coffee shop that is connected to the hotel, they make really cute drawings in the foam :)
You feel like you are the only guest in the hotel, everyone is very nice, they always smile and they help you however they can, the reception girls called to every place we wanted to make reservations for dinner, tours, etc.
Is like a 5 minutes ride to get to the center. They have a hotel tuctuc that goes like 3 or 4 times a day to the old city for free, we didn't used it so much because any tuctuc was really cheap so we didn't mind not being in the center (all the interesting places are really close). The last day they gave us a courtesy ride to the airport, really nice of them.
We remember this place and smile, completely recommended!
Small tip - Wear mosquito repellant before you leave the room, as everywhere in Thailand, there are lots of mosquitoes. In the rooms there is no problem as long as you don't leave the door or window open.

Room Tip: Ask for a room far from the breakfast garden if you don't plan to wake up early and the noise bo...

What a lovely resort this is! The location is great, though it is about 1km from the heart of the city... a quick 80 thb tuk tuk or 15 minute walk gets you to the night market, and the old city is close to follow. I rented a scooter and that has been super convenient.
The promotion I purchased included Airport transfers, dinner (which I have not used yet) and a 2 hour spa treatment).
Breakfasts are delicious with both western and asian treats. Their mango waffles are fantastic. Also, you can get a cappuccino or Americano or Mocha and they will have a beautiful drawing in the foam... a different one each morning! With the Jacuzzi suite breakfast is included and you can enjoy it in the restaurant, int he garden behind one of the pools, or even delivered to your room.
For my spa package, I went with the traditional thai massage, which included a foot massage and a thai herbal compress treatment. I left floating on air.... i especially loved the tea along with the refreshing eucalyptus soaked warm towel they offered me at the end,
The staff is very sweet, and walking aorund you'll find little passageways with beautiful statues and water fountains or ponds.... it all creates an extremely relaxing environment.
The suites are HUGE - I have 2 balconies- a large one and a small one, and my bedroom has a king sized bed plus a separate twin bed. The matttresses are firm, but comfortable. The living room has a very comfortable couch, and it is just as comfortable as a bed! There is a refrigerator with a freezer, and they provide complimentary waters and sodas daily. The bathroom is huge with yummy smelling soaps, shampoos and lotions for your use, plus a huge stall shower and a jacuzzi. there is a dressing room, with robes and slippers for 3 people. the room is filled with beautiful orchids and sunlight and overlooks courtyards with statues and beautiful greenery and fountains.
I still have a couple more days here, and I cannot reccommend it highly enough! GIve this place a try... no, it is not one of the cheap backpacker places, but for my money, this is how i want to spend my vacation (and all the inclusions make it a steal!!)

Room Tip: no elevators, so the 2ndfloor is perfect- you get a little more privacy and don't have to climb...

The hotel is located not far from the heart of Chiang Mai in a busy street. When we fist arrived we thought they must have driven us to another place, but when we entered the backyard we recognized it from the pictures. Such a lovely place! A tiny oasis in the middle of the city. The staff were so friendly to us, the breakfast simple but incredibly good, and we almost had one of the pools to ourselves. The room was super charming and comfortable. Tesco was right around the corner so we bought some food, snacks and extra water to have in our fridge too.

I really loved the atmosphere at the hotel. Will definitely go back next time I'm visiting Chiang Mai.

This friendly and stylish boutique hotel is an easy walk to the night market of Chiang Mai (around 15 minutes) or half an hour to the Old City. The highlight for us was the friendly, wonderful staff who made us feel right at home. The interiors and surroundings are beautiful and the food in the restaurant and breakfast buffet was very good. The only small thing was that our noisy neighbours kept us awake a bit - this hotel is not particularly noise-insulated but we still enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, try asking for a room upstairs!

We just returned from a get away in Chiang Mai. As a family of 5, finding accommodations is not easy. But the Shewe Wana delivered. The two bedroom suite was perfect. We had plenty of space between the two bedrooms and the living room. We never felt like we were crowded.

The location is just right. Far enough from town that it is quiet and peaceful. But close enough to walk anywhere you want. The hourly tuk tuk rides from the Shewe Wana to the night markets are free and very convenient.

The best part of the Shewe Wana is the staff. They are amazing! Thailand is known for hospitality, but the Shewe Wana staff went above and beyond. They were pleasant, helpful, and extremely kind. They treated our children as welcomed guests. They greeted us by giving our children little gifts upon arrival and sent them off with gifts at our departure. They helped arrange our departure even when we had a very late flight out.

Our stay at the Shewe Wana was enough to make us visit Chiang Mai again. We highly recommend this lovely resort!

This hotel is amazing. First time to Thailand and first time to Chiang Mai, this hotel was my first pit stop on my trip. The room I stayed in was well-sized, clean and spacious. The service was impeccable, the staff were very helpful and very friendly, giving me directions to the closest shopping outlets, arranging trips down to the night market was a breeze as well, as being free too.

Enjoyed my stay here, definitely coming back to stay here again.

I adored this hotel! The staff were so helpful and attentive, the complimentary tuk tuk service to the night bazaar made getting into town every evening a snap. They have a coffee shop next door that appears to be part of the hotel and the darling woman who works there will create the most intricate designs on coffee foam that you have ever seen!! There were also fabulous natural bath products provided in the room. They were available in the lobby and I am wishing I had purchased them, my hair is really missing the bamboo and charcoal shampoo!!
