Spent 3 nights and enjoyed the stay. Staff were mostly friendly and helped organize any tour I would like. Location was a 5 minute walk to the Sunday night market, but otherwise a little out of the way. Restaurant has a main focus on Western food, but does have some Thai selections. A little pricey for my budget - most dishes were over 100 Baht - even the local ones.
Wifi is available, but only on lower floors. Left my dirty laundry in a bag beside my pack and it was taken and washed - mixed feelings on them not asking first.

For the price, this is one of the best stays in Chiang Mai. I intended to stay for 3 days and ended up staying 8. The hotel is centrally located in the Pae Gate area, and within 2 minutes of the central TAT office (which is brilliant for booking anything in Thailand). The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. They have a TV, bathrooms and hot showers. The staff is very friendly.

The only drawback it has is the pub downstairs, which can be a bit loud if you want to get an early night. Also, the staff will definitely try to sell you a trekking tour or a cooking course, but they are not too pushy about it, and what they offer is good value.

Would stay here again!

The Queen Victoria was very accomadating from the beginning by answering with the staff (Nong and manager Sirilak) answering emails promptly in English. The hotel restaurant is also a bonus as they have not only thai food but delicious western food at reasonable prices (and phenomenal margaritas). The rooms are clean, very nicely decorated and were excellent for sleeping. The staff also helped to arrange tours, allowed us to leave our baggage after check out and helped with numerous other small traveler questions. Overall, an excellent establishment!

We stayed in a deluxe room (typically 800 Baht per night -- reduced to 650 for long-term stay), which was large, comfortable, and very quiet. Although the location isn't right in the center of the Old City, it is convenient to everything you'd want in Chiang Mai. The Thai food at the British pub downstairs is also surprisingly good. All in all, we had a great time here.

We stayed at the Queen Victoria Inn for 5 nights in December and absolutely loved it. Fantastic room, in fact it was massive and came with an extra single bed as well, lovely and clean and definately more than what you expect for your money.
The pub downstairs offers really good food and is a nice place to have a beer at the end of a day exploring the city. Everything is within walking distance, the night bazaar, the Sunday walking street,, great location. There is a computer for the use of guests for free if you need to check your emails.
We booked 2 tours through the Queen Victoria and would recommend this service to anyone...if you are not sure which one, definately do the Elephant Nature Park, it should not be missed.
There is not a pool, but they have an agreement with a private swimming club close by and you can pay a discounted rate to use their facilities.

I would recommend the Queen Victoria Inn to anyone wanting a friendly, clean, safe accommodation in Chiang Mai.....and fantastic value for money.
