I stayed with a friend at Eagle House 1 for a total of 5 nights.
The location of Eagle House 1 is great, in a little quiet road ... only 5min to walk to the center of Chiang Mai and about 20min to the night market. (we paid 150 Baht for a taxi from train station)
Our first two nights were great ... we stayed in one of the upstairs air-con rooms for 320 Baht per night. Hot water shower, little balcony, towels and warm blankets (it did get cold at night).
About a week later we returned from Pai and decided to stay at Eagle House 1 again ... unfortunately this time we were not that lucky. They only had one of the fan rooms downstairs available, which is right next to the sitting area outside. It was noisy outside until about 11pm and then we could hear noises from upstairs from about 8am every morning. Hard to get a good night sleep before a trekking trip or just for relaxing.
The hot shower water shower in this room was broken and we could only have cold water showers or use the shower in the main building. By the time we got back from our trekking tour it was fixed.
The staff is very friendly and was very helpful with booking our bus to Pai, arranging Taxi pick ups etc.

It was great that you can help yourself with coffee, tea, toast and drinking water and then write everything into your room book and pay at the end.
We did a 2days/1 night trekking tour with Eagle House and it was well organised ... make sure to wear long pants and good trekking shoes!! And make sure to get plenty of drinking water on every station. Pack at least one set of clothes in a waterproof bag/ plastic bag!
You are not suppose to bring any valuables and a max. of 1000 Baht per person for the trekking trip. This was good, since you will have to leave your backpack in the car at some points and there is always the risk of getting everything wet (by rain or falling in a river).
My friend did the cooking course at Eagle House 2 and she had a great time and got a cooking book to take away.
All together, great for activities but for accommodation I would maybe look somewhere else next time!More
