We found the guest house fairly easily after a long walk from the train station. The design of the guesthouse itself and the courtyard garden in the back was lovely. Despite being about 2 hours early Roger was very friendly and rustled us up some breakfast while our rooms were finishing being cleaned, throughout the remainder of our time there he was very helpful and friendly. Whilst the room was very clean (the room included a strange brown tree-like feature on the wall) it was extremely damp and humid and the bathroom was dark and grotty. Both rooms could certainly have done with decorating. Our window view was of the cleaning cupboard towards the back of the building. I have never slept on a more uncomfortable bed. It felt like a wooden board covered with a sheet. It was extremely quiet when we stayed there, which obviously had some benefits but not seeing anyone else for 3 days seemed a bit odd. I wouldn't stay again if I'm being honest

We accidentally found this guesthouse in the internet and booked it for our first days in Thailand. Although we arrived there late at night Roger the owner was still waiting on us and had some welcome drinks with us. This place has been a really excellent base for exploring Chiang Mai. We found it fortunate, that Parami is not located in the travelers hot spot but instead in a real Thai neighbourhood. However, everything can be reached by a short walk. The rooms and toilets are very clean and the prices are also very reasonable. It is worth to mention that Roger, Arree and the entire staff is very nice and always helpful. We can really recommend this guesthouse to all the travellers that try to avoid the mainstream lonely planet hot spots.

I found this guest house excellent, the owners and staff were really friendly, laid back and full of great advice. The rooms were spotlessly clean and in fact I loved the fact that the toilet and private bathroom was just outside my bedroom.
I had two friends who were staying elsewhere and they thought the place was amazing too. I would stay here again if I returned to chiang Mai.

My fiance and I stayed at Parami Guesthouse over New Years this last December/January. We had a wonderful experience. Roger, the owner, his wife, and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They were able to make suggestions for activities, side trips, restaurants, and shopping. Anything we needed from laundry to scooter rental to trekking they were able to arrange for us. They made everything easy and stress-free.
The guest house is quaint and cozy, though a room on the back side is preferable to the front. Our first night was a little noisy, but we were able to change rooms, and it was much better. It's in a good location. We were able to walk everywhere in town quite easily. We really enjoyed our stay at Parami. We would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

The staff in the guesthouse are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet, however, while we did pay for an ensuite the toilet was around the corner.
