Lanna Dusita Boutique Resort by Andacura
Ranked #84 of 395 Hotels in Chiang Mai

We have stayed here (4 adults in two rooms) for four night and will be leaving today. The hotel offers very good value for money with the rooms being spacious and clean.

Yes, the hotel is a little out of town but in return you get peace and tranquility by the river with a pool thrown in.

Breakfast is good and plentiful and meals in the restaurant are good.

If you want a really good cheap meal, a new restaurant has just opened 100 mtrs down the road. Turn left out of the hotel and its on the right just after the apartment block. We had three fish baked in salt with a variety of pork and chicken dishes. All washed down with three large bottles of beer for less than Baht 750. Go and try this place and tell them you read about it on Trip Advisor.

Enjoy your stay...

Room Tip: We had the standard room but it was good.

While the place is outside of the main town, if you need to relax and unwind in a garden like setting by a peaceful river, then this is your place. Just bring a few extra bahts and directions for the taxi and tuk tuk drivers. Don't forget to visit Le Crystal down the street for some excellent dining.

Good layout and friendly staff. The view from the pool over the river is particularly nice. Free drinking water and Wi-Fi are a must for me. The Lanna Mantra had both, but could have had slightly more water and slightly better Wi-Fi signal. The property is a ways out of town so be prepared to take the shuttle (one way) or better yet, rent a scooter on site for a day. Rates were good for room and scooter.

We have stayed at Lanna Mantra twice and enjoyed our stay both times. The pool is clean, gardens are well maintained, staff is friendly, and the food is good. There is a shuttle to town twice a day and the cost of a short tuk tuk ride to the hotel from pretty much anywhere is quite reasonable. The breakfast buffet is good, with choices for everyone. Their dinner service is usually quite quiet, perfect for a romantic night in.

Room Tip: Check out the hotels website for a map of rooms, we recommend a river-view!

I must confess that I did not really expect from the stay in this hotel. Surprisingly, I had a wonderful experience! My first impression was the greenery of the hotel, the garden is fantastic and the buildings are hidden behind trees. I felt like walking into a private old house of some local noble people. The pool is sitting next to the river and it made me feel warm and comfortable. There are some white fragrant flowers fall into the pool sometime and it is so ROMANCE! I spent most of my afternoon laying down there with my books (even I should go out for a city tour lol).

When I was there, they have just renovated all the rooms so they all look new but still boutique. Food is great. All staffs are dressing in beautiful traditional costumes with smiles on their faces. They are really helpful while still have space to keep your privacy. I will definitely visit there again.

Nothing more to say. Huge letdown. The staff were not happy with having to serve us , I guess we are guilty in contributing towards the survival of this dull and under capacity hotel. The pool was full of debris and therefore we could not enjoy the luxury of the pool.

Nice and quite hotel with beautiful gardens. Clean rooms with good airconditioning. The breakfast is good (both hot and cold) and the food in the restaurant is good too. Staff could be more helpful. They make a lazy impression.
Taking into account the price we paid (11 EUR per night per person) we were satisfied with our stay.
