We found this little hidden place after a quick look on reviews. We only had very little time to choose as we changed our plans last minute given the on-going protests in Thailand. Place is own by a japanesse who greeted us during our breakfast. The place is kept impecable. Every detail is taken cared of. Breakfast is served with delicacy and wide variety. Rooms are big enough with almost no natural light, bathroom is enormous with natural light and every room has a little terrace with a sofa in the middle of the well designed gardening. Pool is espectacular with a jacuzzi in the middle with the perfect temperature. Our experience was very delightful as we dedicated our stay to rest (though we didn't try the spa) and sight see with time (hotel tuk-tuk is available for guests) I think this is a very good choice for couples who appreciate every detail.

We booked a Deluxe Room and were surprised that we had a free upgrade to a Puripunn Deluxe Room upon check in. The room was exquisitely decorated and furnished with a bathtub. There were also a plate full of fruits and a plate of desserts free for us. Hence we can see that the owner and staffs valued their customers very much and hoped to ensure that they enjoyed their stays.

Although the Hotel is not located within the city, it is just within walking distance away and nestled in a quiet neighbourhood. It is definitely a great location for us because we love peaceful and quiet environment. We normally rode in the Hotel's tuk tuk to the city and walked back to the Hotel, it takes about 20-30min depends on where you walk from and how fast you walk. So it is actually pretty convenient.

Breakfast was very good as well. We are both vegetarians and the staffs tried their best to provide us with the vegetarian breakfast that we could enjoy. We really appreciate it. The owner of the Hotel even made the efforts to chat with us in the morning to find out how was our stay and informed us that we could approach them anytime we need any assistance.

I guess it would be better if the Hotel could provide airport transfer at a cheaper rate. We paid THB150 for each airport transfer and the Hotel charges THB750.

We hope to stay at Puripunn Baby Grand again if we are visiting Chiang Mai.

After we left the Puripunn Baby Grand, we went to the $800/night Four Seasons in Koh Samui and wanted right away to go back to Puripunn.
The location is perfect- an oasis, the service was great, and my wife had the best massage she has ever had here.
We will definitely visit again.

This is by far the best hotel my husband and I stayed in during our month in southeast Asia. You will not regret staying at this hotel while in Chiang Mai! The service is the best I have experienced at a hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in a convenient location within the city. The day we checked in, a Red Shirt protest began spontaneously close to the hotel. The owner of the hotel was extremely professional and helpful in finding us a new hotel to move to and refunding all of our money. We were so impressed with the service that we returned two days later once the protest had dissipated and were so glad to be back! This is the ONLY hotel to stay in while visiting Chiang Mai. We want to go back just to stay at the Puripunn!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while on our honeymoon. From the moment our taxi dropped us off, we were treated like royalty. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, as is the rest of the establishment. The food was very good (particularly the complimentary breakfast every morning), and I cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff are. Although it is tucked away in a secluded area, this only added to its charm. The local night market and restaurants were still only a 10 minute walk and only a few minutes by tuk-tuk. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in that area!
