The place was amazing and the service from the staff was the best i've received in Thailand. Free 1 hour Thai massage and one free dinner pass was included along with breakfast every morning. The Thai massage was excellent (and I've had a fair few in Thailand!).

Only thing I would say is that the slippers provided in the room were not clean and had been used beforehand without being washed. The free dinner wasn't great (I had the veggie option) but can't complain too much as it was free. These were however outweighed by the positives.

I would 100 percent stay here again, easily my favourite place i've stayed in Chiang Mai. Although the rooms were beautifully decorated and the bed was massive, the staff made the biggest impression. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed in Chiang Mai for six nights while attending a cooking school, and decided to splurge a little and stay in one of the nicer hotels. After reading several reviews, I decided on Raming Lodge. I was impressed with everything about my stay, from the quality of the room to the efficiency of the staff to the free breakfast buffet every day, and for the price I don't think I've gotten a better hotel deal anywhere. The spa upstairs is open daily, so you can start or end each day with a massage. The hotel is centrally located near the night markets and restaurants and close to most of the major tour companies for booking things, plus there is a full-service agent in the lobby who can help you find things to do in the area. Every evening there is live music in the courtyard. The rooms are large, the bed is extra large and very comfortable. And the on-site drop-off for laundry will have your cleaned clothes back to you by about 6:30 every day if you drop them off before 10am for next to nothing. A fantastic experience!

The hotel provided a variety of great tour packages as well as a discount on a spa package at the hotel spa. Free wifi was in rooms and pick-up from and deliver to the airport was included in the cost of the deluxe double room that we booked. The large pool was a refreshing treat on the very hot days and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. The hotel was close to the old city and night market. Good value for the money!

We stayed at the hotel in November 2012. The staff was excellent and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The room was spacious although the window was a bit small but with windows in the bath, enough natural lights went in. The breakfast was good, could do with a bit of variation but we have no problems with the menu. The pool is located on a separate premise but no problem in accessing it. The spa was conveniently located although a bit expensive compared to the street massage. Overall we enjoyed our stay, good facilities and staff.

Room Tip: Get deals directly from hotel, definately worth the value. Ask for higher levels rooms

The hotel is situated quite well just half way to the old city on the one side and the markets and the river on the other side. The road behind the hotel is not very quiet, but that's the price for the location. The rooms are decent but have the regular moist bathrooms and insects that you find in this region. The A/C works properly, the towels are changed daily and the staff is very friendly.

Just came back after a short 4 days stay at Raming Lodge. This lanna styled hotel has a great location, only a 5 minute walk to old town or 10 minutes walk to the famous night bazaar. Well, there are a few beer bars with girls just around the corner but hey, no problem. Just tell them that you are not interested and walk on.

I had a deluxe room with included transfer from/to airport, free softdrinks from minibar, free (great) wifi internet in room and discount vouchers for massage at SPA and BBQ at the hotel restaurant.

Rooms are spacious with flat screen tv, safe, working desk and chairs for sitting. The room was quite dark, because there is just a small window. But in my opinion this was a big plus because the temperature in the room was never too hot. Outside there were 40 degrees during my stay but it was not necessary that the AC has to work each minute.

Everybody from staff is very nice and polite. It was a great pleasure to chat with them sometimes when they heared that I can speak a little thai. I love them all! :)

I am happy to return one day again back to Raming Lodge!

Room Tip: I think deluxe rooms are on higher floors and quieter

The location of the hotel is okay. It is a short walk to the centre of Chiang Mai and to the Sunday Market. However right ouside the hotel are some cliché bars with "old white men and young thai girls" which made me feel uncomfortable.
The hotel itself has lots of rooms. Ours had only a small window and was very dark. Other than that it was clean and had a nice bed.
Breakfast is served in a hall which is kinda not so charming, but there was a big variety of food.
The hotel is okay but I think you can get better value for the same price in chiang mai...
