ENP is located just outside of Chiang mai and is a wonderful place to see the amazing creatures in a natural setting. No riding and no tricks. They are doing great work in allowing these animals to socialise and interact with each other after many of them having a traumatic past.

They are really doing an amazing job. Its good to see where the money goes in the care of these animals and the purchase and rescuing of more elephants in bad situations.

Lek and her team are doing good things here.

If you want yo experience ethical interaction with these creatures this is the place to go.

The Elephant Nature Park is doing a great job rescuing elephants. They are really concerned by their well being and you can see that in every detail during the visit/stay.

I'd done a lot of research before coming to Thailand about the most ethical ways to interact with elephants and time and again ENP topped the bill.

Me and my partner booked the overnight visit as the full day ones had been full booked. This is something to be aware of, ENP is extremely popular so it's best that book as far in advance as possible.

From the moment we were picked up from our hostel we were educated about the treatment of elephants in Thailand and shown a video which was quite upsetting. However, we learnt a lot and it's enabled me to educate other travellers about elephants.

We had a lovely room with an ensuite. The only problem being that there was no air conditioning, just 2 ceiling fans. The food was amazing. When we were there it was all vegan with around 30 buffet options for each meal.

We got to interact with elephants on their terms, feeding and bathing them. It was an incredible experience and I would strongly urge people to visit this sanctuary over any other.

Lek and her ENP family do an incredible job! The facility they have built is a superb place to relax at when not off interacting with the animals they have rescued. They also continue to expand and improve things for guests and animals alike. The meals were delicious and our room very comfortable and clean.

We did the overnight stay instead of the single day trip and we are sooo glad we did! One day wouldn't have been enough for us. Next time we'll try the week volunteer experience.

We had the opportunity to follow two guides during our two days in the park. (Plus a trainee- Hi Sue!) Top and Thor were fantastic! Both had a wealth of knowledge and stories to share with us. They were also super friendly and fun guys. They paced things very well, and made us feel very much at home. We shared a lot of laughs, some stories about ourselves, and some vocabulary-word trading! This will certainly remain amongst the best experiences in our travels abroad.

It is impossible to express how important the work they are doing is... Thank You ENP!
