Wow what an incredible day we had today! We opted for the Save thw Thai elephants trip. We prepared food for the elephants, fed them LOTS they love their food, we walked with them down to the river feeding them along the way and then got to get in the river with them helping them to wash off the dry mud. We then had an absolutely gorgeous lunch and after lunch watched the elephants play and cover themselves in mud in the mud baths. After this we fed them again, we were able to get some amazing pictures and videos throughout the day and the staff were amazing. The elephants seemed so happy and well cared for. It costs a lot of money to keep these sanctuaries going which makes it even more worth the money.

Highly recommend!

We were so pleased with the entire day at elephant nature park. From the transportation, guides, flow of the day and ability to get close to the elephants. Pamper a Pachyderm really allowed for solid time to interact with the elephants. We made them food, hand fed them, walked them, had lunch on top of a hill with a stunning view and bathed them in the river. To top it off we went white water rafting which was a riot. A “must do” while in Chiang Mai!

What can I say other than this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! My husband and I spent 2 days and one night with these beautiful animals and it was worth every penny. We had a group of 9 and we were lucky we had such a friendly group. Meeting so many elephants and hearing their individual stories was unbelievable and heart breaking to know people can treat them so poorly. You aren't allowed to ride or swim with the elephants however you can have photos with the ones who are happy for human contact. We helped feed the elephants and also prepared food for them. The accommodation is a lot better than I expected. Double bed and also a single. Bathroom with shower. Food is all vegan and vegetarian which I am neither however I didn't go hungry. There are also nearly 600 dogs and cats that are also rescued and you can help walk the dogs and visit the cats. If you plan to visit elephants whilst in Thailand please visit the elephant nature park rather than the other ones where they are poorly treated.

Great place. You only need the half day experience. There seems to be lots of hanging around. Lunch was incredible. Staff were great. Pick up at hotel and then drop off. The ride was comfortable.

First of all, I would recommend the park to everyone. It is a Very big area with lots of elephants and other animals. Most of the animals suffered pain in the past, you will see blind ones due to camera flash light, elephants with broken bones due to hard work or accidents with cars and also elephant which walked onto landmines and thus have serious issues.
This park really rescues elephants instead of buying healthy ones to offer tourists a great experience.
The whole concept of the park is very sustainable and based on offering the elephants the maximum freedom.
This for example includes that they do not offer elephant bathing as this is something only done for tourist entertainment. You can only observe bathing.

And here started our negative experiences with the parks Organisation and communication. We totally support the decision of Onl observing the elephant bathing, but while booking the website still tells us that it will be included. First the booking confirmation told us about this fact. We wrote the park an e mail that we are not happy about this, still want to visit, but they should change this as they are making commercial with false information. All we got was a standard reply and a link to the homepage.

Second thing: we booked the single day visit. But we only got the short day visit. I again messaged the park for this. We never got a reply.

As I said I can Definetl recommend the park. The overall idea behind it is supportable in all manners. But don't believe the informations on the website, maybe ask in advance what really is included and the times you will get.

I am far from ever being a PETA member, but this tour was eye-opening. So many elephants with injuries, mistreatment and the like. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO ANY "SANCTUARY" THAT OFFERS ELEPHANT RIDES! This one does NOT. It damages the elephant's backs and walking on the hot blacktop encourages infection of their nails. This park is the real deal- 80+ elephants, each in a relatively natural environment with open fields and a river to bathe. They also each have a human handler to help them. Part Jurassic Park, part zoo, part nature reserve. Our guide spoke very good English and explained the history and plight of the Asian elephant. My only complaint is that the lunch served is all vegetarian, not so good for a carnivore like me. A must see though!

We stayed at ENP for two days / one night. It was truly an outstanding experience. Upon arrival, the first impression is one of pure chaos: more than a hundred people arriving at the same time give the place a crowded feeling. But that subsides pretty soon, once you enter the park. The area is big enough so that there‘s always only one group of tourists at one group of elephants. Since there are 82 elephants, there‘s also enough time for the elephants to be on their own without human interaction. When you talk to the guides, you get the feeling that they truly love their animals - not only the elephants, but also the hundreds of dogs and cats living there. They tell you the Stories behind the elephants you meet and some of them are truly heartbreaking. This is were you get a feeling of the hard, at times frustrating but also rewarding and so necessary work of the ENP Teams.
Our two days were over pretty quickly, filled with great activities. We walked through the park, walked with elephants, fed elephants, even prepared food for and fed it to an elephant with a special dietary need. During our free time, we could hang out on a viewing plattform and saw elephants bathe in the river and play with each other. Those moments were among the best at ENP.
The hut we stayed in was more of a house and much more fancy than I had imagined. Only downside was the rock hard bed, but then again you don‘t stay at ENP for the comfort. All food provided was vegan. I‘m not a vegetarian, but I don‘t mind eating vegetarian as long as it is good. And this food was really good, especially the vegan barbecue we had for dinner. All meals are served as a buffet on the plattform overlooking the park. After dark, when all the day visitors are gone, the remaining crowd is a blend of volunteers and overnight guests. The evening had the busy yet relaxed atmosphere of part backpacking hostel, part artisan community.
All in all, the stay at ENP was the highlight of our trip to Thailand.

This is an absolute must and not just a must see elephants but a must visit Karen Elephant Habitat through Elephant Nature Park. Half of your money goes to the park to expand their reach and help other families keep their elephants at home and not renting them to the trekking companies. And the other half goes directly to the family you visit to help pay for food & care for the elephants. This is a no riding experience. You greet the elephants and feed them bananas, you then take a 45 minute trek up the mountain side with the elephants ( a little bit of fitness required but is a slow pace) where you feed them sweet corn stalks. They provide a delicious vegetarian lunch while the elephants relax. Then you head down to a mud pit to give them a mud bath and then to the river for a swim. You interact with the elephants but give them their space to just be elephants. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. This was the best part of our Thailand Trip yet and I'm glad we experienced through the Karen tribe rather than the park itself. Such an amazing cause.

Overall, the tour was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We felt in great hands throughout the whole trip. The quality of the staff is what sets this place apart with all the different tour operators in the area. We were most impressed by our tour guide who was fluent in 4 languages and went the extra mile to make the tour enjoyable everyone. As well, the elephants seemed to be well respected and the program has no gimmicks. I would recommend the Elephant Nature Park to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
