We stayed here for 3 nights in early Dec as part of a 3 week holiday in Thailand. This was by far our favourite accomodation as it was homely and friendly. Our room had a great big bed, sitting area and balcony and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location was excellent as it was on a road housing galleries, craft shops and some fabulous restaurants. We ate at the Good View which was excellent. The night bazaar is only a 10 minute walk away but if you are there on a Sat or Sun night the weekend market is even better. We had a day at the Elephant Nature Park, about an hour outside of Chiang Mai, which was truly amazing. I cannot stress enough how fantastic it is to be up close to these creatures, feeding them and bathing them in the river, and knowing that they are being treated ethically. Chiang Mai was our favourite destination in Thailand and this was in no small way because of Baan Orapin.
