The room was spacious and a good budget room. The hotel is old but clean and tidy.
Receptionist was very helpful ,we checked in very early in the morning and they prepared a nice room for us within 10 mins.
Hot water option wasn't working properly in shower and there wasn't any shower hanger so you have to hold the shower by hand.
The room service was perfect and they cleaned the room properly every day during our stay.
This hotel is around 15 mins walk to Tapae gate where the night market starts and there are many restaurants around this place , so we had no problem regarding food.
If you dont want to walk for 15mins you can take a shared tuktuk by 20 bht pp to tapae gate.
The hotel breakfast isnt that good - they provide egg, bread and piece of chicken , where the chicken is extremely dry .
The area is very calm and quite .Other than the weekend night market most of the restaurants get closed by 10pm .
On the way from Tapae gate there are many cheap but clean massage parlor - where you can try the foot massage.

Room Tip: try to take a room on the top floor and front side

Central place, near night and sunday bazaars.
Clean and low cost.
Shower is very low and if you want to order a taxi, dont do that in reception of the hotel. Go outside the bulding and will find cheapier and faster taxy or tuk tuk.

We booked on line prior to arriving in Thailand. I would say that it offered a wonderful location, with all that you need but nothing extra. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere from our hotel, we enjoyed being able to have a quick and easy breakfast each morning and we enjoyed having a Thai massage in the lobby our first night in country. However, the hotel just lacked much of a personality. The staff was pleasant, but not personable. The rooms were fine, but not very interesting. Rooms were quiet and clean.

We stayed here for 4 nights at 650 baht per night. Big clean room with daily changed bed sheet. The location is great, near to night bazaar, market, Sunday night market, the longest in SE Asia and massage places where the prices were between 120 baht to 200 bath per hours. We bought 20 pieces of dresses in one of the many boutique shops near the hotel at wholesale price. The hotel is quiet and it was easy to get transport in Tapae street. There are plenty of eating places near by and you can buy local food and fruits in the market.

Room Tip: Ask for a non smoking room in the upper floor with a good view of Chiang Mai

This place was perfect for us - two 20-something females from Australia. It was quiet, comfy, the air-con was wonderful. For 2 people sharing a twin room we only paid a couple of extra dollars over a dorm bed in a hostel and it was so much better. Staff were friendly, gave us helpful quotes for tuktuks and ordered taxis for us when we asked, laundry was prompt and cheap... The tuktuk drivers all know it which is FABULOUS because you don't have to spend 15 minutes trying to find it on their map. It was close to the night market and we were able to walk everywhere (except the mountain). Anyway it's not a flash hotel but extremely solid for its price. Would recommend!

Strategically located in the centre of Chiang Mai. With 5 minutes walking distance (East) to the main Tapae Gate leading to Rachadamneon Rd, famous for the Sunday walking market. Lots of restaurants nearby with plenty of food options and bars with local food. Starbucks and McDonald's less than 10 mins walk away. Lots of ATM machines nearby. 7/11 around the corner. 15 mins walk (West) to the night market at Chang Klan Rd. which open every night.
Plenty of wats or temples located near by like Wat Bhubparam, Wat Saen Fang, Wat Upakhut,...etc

Room Tip: Do 1. Request for upper floor room facing the temple for refreshing view. 2. Check to see if the a...

Stayed for two nights here. the hotel is only 5 mins walk to the Tapae Gate and old quarter. Room is outdated and need indepth refurbishment. The good points are cheap and clean. We walked in the first night and paid 650B and for the second night we booked from agoda, which costs 22 USD but include breakfast. If you're looking for a budget room to stay, that should be a good chioce.
