The Chedi Chiang Mai is an outstanding hotel on the banks of the Maeping river and very close to the night markets. The swimming pool is ideal for those who want to swim as an exercise as well as a very well equipped gym. The breakfasts under the massive tree in the garden are "orgasmic" with a massive spread of home made breads and preserves as well as to die for omelettes. The Indian restaurant at the Chedi is very good although a little pricey for Chiang Mai
