This hotel is AMAZING!!!! I have never stayed at a better hotel, everything from design to service and food is PERFECT. The pool is really lovely overlooking the river and they give you water spray and cold water with fresh towels each time. Upon check in we received fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne, a lovely touch. Our room over looked the river and as HUGE! It had a very comfortable bed, walk in kitchen and day bed. The suite we stayed in came with free breakfast fruit daily, fully stocked min bar (free), the room was perfection!
Do yourself a favour and ignore all bad reviews as the restaurant service and food was INCREDIBLE, who serves wagu steak for breakfast??? YUM!!!
Everything about this hotel is 6 stars, I cannot fault it at all, go ahead and spoil yourself, and you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Get a suit room if you can afford it

When arriving at the Chedi, I was initially disappointed because of the closed-off covering on the facade of the hotel, but driving into the drop-off area one gets a totally different feeling. The serene setting and modern decor is jaw-dropping. We enjoyed all of the breakfasts sitting next to the river. The amenities of a club suite were outstanding - free breakfasts, drinks and innovative hors d'oeuvres. It is an oasis in the middle of a busy section of Chiang Mai, near the Night Market. We hadn't been to Chiang Mai before, but would stay at the Chedi if we find ourselves there again.

Room Tip: The club suites are fabulous regardless of where located.

We're still staying at the hotel with our 2nd night in and I have to say we are impressed. In fact, the service is AMAZING, not to mention the beautiful grounds.

I believe Thailand is the last country on earth in which the people are still friendly, genuine, kind and super smiley. And this being in the best Hotel in Thailand makes it the best hotel in the world for me. The grounds are amazing, the location superb (no, you don't have to be in the middle of the CBD to win on location - then again they have a river and the night bazaar so good enough), rooms are perfect and the choice of fragrance is delightful.

The hotel is reasonably priced for this grade of hotel and honestly, you must stay here. Forget Shangrila, forget four seasons and give hilton a miss. Chedi for the win.

We come from melbourne where the food is hard to beat, breakfast here though tops the cake.

Will be bringing the next few generations of my family here. Hope the hotel stays like this forever. May I also mention is seems to be like the only hotel in Thailand that actually does redo paint jobs and building maintenance, even for the corridors that their staff use.

Staff are also well trained in english (Look, I have to say that I believe that we shouldn't expect every non-english speaking country to learn english)

And did I mention what seems to be a double room service? Went out in the evening and came back after dinner to find our towels re-hung, bed re-made, water refilled and room tidied for the 2nd time in a day. Super Excellent, in a world of very good.

Property is lovely, rooms fantastic but property ruined by poor restaurant service. Stayed at property 3 nights . This is my 5 th time to Thailand recently and have traveled extensively in Asia and am shocked by such poor service in their restaurant. Each am totally messed up our orders and beverage orders. Ate dinner there one night but did not return since our orders very messed up and food just average for the price. The front desk concierge is a joke -when asked for upscale shopping suggestions offered us a booklet guide and then referred us to a factory store where items were 3 times price for what they should have been. Location great but need to oversee the restaurant staff.

The ambience and atsmosphere at the Chedi is unbeatable. The guestrooms are gorgeous, mellow, and furnished to an impeccably high standard. Breakfast is great, and the view of the hotel grounds and river are sublime. Chilling out at the Chedi at night is a great way to spend the evening, and the restaurant here serves very high quality food. Moreover, the hotel is perfectly located, a 3 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the night market, but far enough away to be incredibly peaceful. Would recommend this hotel any day.

We have stayed in many luxury hotels on THE globe, and everywhere everything is of a high standard/class... But THE service we get here.... Almost get shocked... (In a positive way...off course!!!). Just An example... If you wanna have your lunch/snack on THE terrace... They came with a spray to fresh up you face etc.

No need to write About full amenities, iPod Dock or whatsoever... Come on... A hotel like this, with THE kind of rates The Chedi have... Are all good... No doubt About that..!! But THE little things and details, THAT makes THE difference...

We had a club suite... Which was suburb... But THE service you get, s not depending what kind of room you are in... As that is not wrikten on your forehead!!!

Only 1 minute walking distance from Night Bazar entrance, so very very conveniënt.. (For US!!)

Room Tip: Club suite was excellent, but I suppose a 'normal' room must be good as well...

Our 2nd hotel in our visit to thailand, and what a hotel it was.As soon as we arrived we were spoiled, the welcome was very special. When we were taken to our room i had tears in my eyes as it was so beautiful. The hotel and every thing about it was amazing, the rooms, reastaurant and the pool area was lovely. At the pool you get a tray with lemongrass cold towels, and a facial spray and ice water all day long. The staff are also lovely and so helpful. The town was okay,a nice shoe shop.Don't try the Italian reastaurant across the road it was worse than awful, the chef i think he lives in his past fame. The hotel is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at,and would highly recomment it to you all.
