Stylish hotel, the good blend of Chinese and Lanna Architecture.
We really love the garden and the gorgeous breakfast.
Very helpful stuff.

Although the room need to be refurnished as it looks a bit tatty now.
The hotel is not located in the center near the night market area, so you would need a taxi or a car to get around town.

This is surely one of the best boutique hotels I have seen designed in the ancient Lanna style. This place oozes style, class and above all the private serenity one looks for in a relaxing holiday. Tucked away on the eastern end of the old walled City a stones throw away from the famous Wat Phra Singh Temple, The Rachamankha is fantastically located close by to all the action. The service within this 24 room boutique hotel here is spectacular as is the overall design. I urge all guests to take a walk around the hotel to view the many antiques that are laid out around the grounds. Although the hotel is usually running at full occupancy, it is very often that you will find yourself alone as if you are in your own private resort. Take time to enjoy the lovely pool and find some intellectual inspiration in the well stocked library.
Breakfast from 6am to 11am is provided courtesy of the room rate and you get to choose 3 items from the menu (it is more than enough). I particularly enjoy their in house blended muesli, waffles, pancakes and crepes.. but the are also the typical eggs and a couple of local Thai breakfast items like fried rice and rice porridge.
There is only one thing that you may that offence to is the sulphur scent you may notice with the Bath and shower water particularly as it is heated. The hotel uses artisan well water for the bathrooms and as Chiangmai is situated on volcanic terrain, this is inevitable. But in all honesty, this is a minor glitch and anyway volcanic sulphuric water is supposedly good for your skin!
You may be lucky and bump into the General Manager Paul who is a great personality and will be quick to help you out with any questions or concerns you may have.
The Rachamankha - truly a magnificent experience for a great Chiangmai holiday.

My 15 friends - first time visitors to Thailand - were scheduled to end our tour at Rachamankha and it provided us with the most enchanting experience.
The architecture and interior design is quite breathtaking, public areas and bedrooms are beautiful, bathrooms large and modern. The architect/owner has imaginatively blended the finest aspects of traditional Lanna style with the contemporary features and facilities demanded by modern day travelers in the most delightful ways.
The high standard of service demonstrated by staff members is particularly noticeable and one (of many) "stand out" features of this gorgeous hotel.
A complete joy from arrival to departure - hope I can go back.
