“A Small Gem of a Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014

We went to Kalapela one evening after dinner for desserts tea and wine. This place was a hit with everyone in our party. The wine was excellent and the teas and chocolates sublime. The owners were very attentive and accomodating. We wish them the best of luck! This is an excellent establishment.

“Good teas and cakes but expensive for what it is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014

A nice atmosphere here and the service is good. The cakes, wines and teas are all better than average however the prices are much higher than most of the tea rooms and 5 star hotels in Chiang Mai. In light of the quality and atmosphere vs price and the many other options in Chiang Mai I'm not entirely sure that I'd come back here. It's definitely not bad, it's just that we have other better options for a better price.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

We wanted to try something different, and because of the positive reviews of TA Kalapela we went to the bar. Comfortable and relaxing environment, with excellent wine, well selected, but expensive for the everyday consumption.
The staff is well-directed, but not very prepared for detailed questions, however, enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back.

“Best selection of wine and tea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014 via mobile

There are plenty of tea list. Some of them are the last can of tea in thailand. The wine list also offer a rare selected year of wine with a very good chateau. It is almost private collection of those list.

I had normal wine with cheese platter and sandwiches. It can be anywhere but this place will make the taste much better.

The highlight is tea and dessert. The salt chocolate is so great.

However, the location in the map is wrong. Better call to find the correct location. I spend half an hour to reach the place.

“Cosy Tea House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

Modern tea house in the middle of Chiang Mai. Very good, French tea. Great service from the smiley Korean guy who runs the place! Fancy decorated! Love the superlong chairs, and the cute tea set. Recommended for a cup of tea, or try the delicious Californian Apple Juice!
