Had a nice stay here until I've just realised I had a few extra birthday cards to open, a total off 100 pound has been taken out of my bag, my own fault as I had all my valuables locked away at all time , and didn't think there would be money in the cards. If you stay here lock every thing away .

We stayed here for almost two weeks in October 2013. The staff were fantastic - helpful, friendly and always smiling and laughing.

We were very impressed that Charlie (owner) took time out of his day and helped a friend of ours who had a spot of bother elsewhere in Chiang Mai, and stuck with it until things were sorted. Jackie, who runs the Cat House Restaurant there was absolutely lovely, and serves very tasty Western food.

We came to feel like part of the family there - the staff and their smiling faces totally made our day every day - and we were very impressed with the service and with the reasonable prices. There is room here for guests with both lower and higher budgets. The swimming pool and waterfall are a lovely touch. Oh, and the beds were softer than other places we have stayed.

This guesthouse is also very conveniently situated, just off Moonmuang Road, so it's easy to go for a quick walk and catch a tuktuk to anywhere in the city, plus you can easily walk to the Saturday and Sunday walking markets. We will definately be back!

I loved this place. I stayed there with my girlfriend who also loved it. There's a swimming pool and the staff is amazing. They were helpful all the time. You always find places not worth it but this is definitely a place worth staying!

Stopped in for a breakfast quick stop along out travels, and found this place off the beaten track.

Promised a breakfast buffet for only 100baht.

We stopped in at around 9:15am to find only a few options,
All of them cold.

Fried rice, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, pork pieces (maybe?!), potato pieces, french toast and an assortment of fruits.

All of which was served cold and was covered in bugs.

It could be due to the fact we arrived so late, but still doesn't make up for the fact there were bugs everywhere and not adequately covered to prevent this.

Wood I go back? No, unfortunately too many bugs and having the toilets being so filthy, it was a big turn off.

Older hotel, slightly shabby, but clean.
Located just inside the old city.
Great value breakfast buffet (100 bhat)
Free wi-fi.
Swimming pool (very nice after a hot day in Chiang Mai)
550 Bhat for a big double room with a/c and fridge. Clean and comfortable.
Better value than most of the guesthouses around this area.

We ended up staying here after the place we were going to stay had double booked us. We were worried about finding a room as it was Chinese New year and just before Valentine's. Anyway they had a 400 baht room, fan, balcony (sort of), and hot shower. We stayed for nearly two weeks, and it was in a great location. The Lady on the front desk who organises the tours etc was really helpful with any question. We had the buffet breakfast at 7.30 am one morn just morning and it was good value at 100 baht, however later in the morning it looks a little..... stale. Pool was nice as it was very warm weather, however it did feel very soapy which was weird.also the tiles need grouting as me and boyfriend both cut ourselves. Rooms were cleaned everyday and bedsheets changed frequently.

We ended up at this guesthouse because of the pool and the unbeatable 300 baht crappy room. The bed was ok, stained pillows, but the place overall needs a big improvement. Dirty bathroom and very old towels provided.Years ago, back in the 90's, I think it was a little heaven downtown of Chiang Mai. Well... at a backpacker price, you attract a certain category of customers; young backpackers, older ones hanging out with young thai women, the usual I guess, but certainly not a high end type of travellers.
We wake up the first morning and head to the restaurant near the pool for our morning coffee. There's a 100 baht buffet available and , which is not our type, so we pass on it. We ask for hot water for our instant coffee like every morning we did during our long trip in Asia but the old woman at the restaurant start to rudly and loudly complain about our behavior. Telling us we were some cheap travelers and we should going back home, so we wouldn't spend money at all! My girlfriend reacted calmly and I didn't say a word, ignoring her. We asked to get hot water at the front desk telling her we couldn't get any at the restaurant and the kind lady give us free hot water, anytime we wanted she said!. Our first morning was ruined by this incident, we moved to an another guesthouse and start over our experience of Chiang Mai. Oh! Don't forget to bring your earplug! Loud base will knock your serenity! I will not recommand this place to a friend who don't need a pool in CM.
