me and my friend ended up in chamgmai, with no clue where to go and what to do; after one hour of walking we ended up in the old town of changmai, and what we saw was paradise. top north guest house is an amazing relaxing and fun place to stay, 300 bath per room, private bathroom, fun and hot shower (you wont need that butanyhow), an amazing grandmother who likes to drink cocktails and a smily helpful staff. believe it or not the guest house even has a swimming pool open 12 hours a day and a 100 bath breafast buffhet ALL YOU CAN EAT. as anyother guest house they can organize tours, trips etc; and even a nice discount to see a real thai boxing match. for people who like partying the location is great 5 minute walk to the night bazzaar and 2-3 minute to the yellow bar or reaggae bar (best bars in changmai!).
have fun!

Its certainly nothing special but its in a brilliant location right by thapa gate and the sunday night walking street market. It is also spotlessly clean and it has a great pool perfect for sweltering afternoons. the bathrooms not the best and very tired but that seems to be the case with most of the cheaper hotels we have stayed at in asia. there were nicer rooms available if your budget allows.

We are a couple aged 28 & 31, we stayed here one night as it had a very good pool, plus it was only £6 per night. We booked into a 4* out of the town for four nights. We only stayed one night and booked back into Top North Guest House. The staff are great, the rooms are brilliant the location is even better. You couldn't ask for any better for te money.

To say that this place is tired and worn is an understatement. Best things are larger rooms and a pool. The breakfast (for which you are charged 100 baht) is very sad and poor. The room are not very clean and the staff is not at all helpful. You can get MUCH better elsewhere at the price of this place

Room tip: Don't stay here.

Nice location, and value for stay. Helpful concierge to arrange tours. Mini ants all over room. Gross. Food was good and varriety. Had massage at hotel which was amazing.

Stayed in older part by bridge room tended to be louder.
Pool area was nice, but got greener by day. Overall nice value, if you look by ants and green pool.
