It is worthy to be visited but you can skip it if you don't have time. After two or three Wats you might not have the same feeling as you've seen them for the first time.

I love to do the meditation in the temple. It is very calm place. It has a lot of dharma words around the area.

Thsi wat is a good starting point to start a day of templehunting in Chiang Mai. Hunting is probably not a good word, als CM overflows with them. Any corner you turn, you'll find a new one (old one most of the times) and mos of them are pretty good.

This was the first temple we visited in Chiang Mai, and we were lucky enough to be in the main temple when all the young monks were having a meal. It was great for our kids to be able to see this and gain a greater appreciation for the Thai culture.

There are several other smaller halls / temples to explore around the complex as well.

We came here to get meditation lessons from some english speaking monks, but couldn't find any. This temple is like many others in the area. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come here, but if you happen to walk by, take some pictures.
