The city is full of old temples but this one has an old one along with a more recent one. The old one is majestic and awesome in its old architecture and simplicity. It's the most important temple and the biggest in the old city. A must see

Within Chiang Mai old city and within walking distance from everything. Well worth the visit to see the old ruins and see lots of monks too. The history is amazing too plus it's free.

Located at the main (shopping) roads of Chiang Mai, but still, was a sweat to find it. But when I reached there, I was wow-ed by it's golden interior. One of the most amazing interior I've seen from the many Wats in Chiang Mai. The Buddha here is especially for one to pray for good relationship within family members.

There is no reason not to visit this Wat when visiting Chiang Mai. It is ancient, huge and can take your breath away when you first see it. It is within the city walls so it's pretty convenient to visit it.
