I really like this stupa. It reminds me of the architecture that is redundant for this time period. It is probably the most famous in Chiang Mai. Worth a stop especially if you are at the walking street market on Sunday night. The market is crammed, but if you are shopping anyway go early before sundown and get some great photos of really old temples and ancient ruins in the center of downtown. Lots to see here and there. Hard to park during the day in this part of town so you have to walk a lot, but on Sunday evening it is all market so easier to do I think.

It is a beautiful wat located on center of Old City Chiang Mai, you can see the reclining Buddha statue, and the Wat Chedi Luang itself,
It is free and you can take some photos with background of Old Temple of Chedi Luang,

This Wat was directly across from my hotel (3 Sis). I found it to be a treasure and an absolute delight to explore. My particular favorite part was the ruin with the hidden buddhas at each of the 4 directions. I found it a peaceful treasure.

I had not seen this tourist attraction since 2009 when I visited with my father. Still a lovely place & a "must see".
