“Great Food / Friendly chef”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Green Days serves wonderful meals created by Atsuko, Japanese owner. Many dishes are from an experimental chef with a keen eye for taste, health as well as eye appeal. In my opinion her best dish is Nagaoka enzyme rice which I top off with fermented seaweed and miso soup. Menu is extensive including some nice pasta's as well as interesting drinks. In addition, adjustments to any dish are cheerfully offered to meet one's diet or palate. I give it a big "thumbs up" on all counts.

“An Exceptional Japanese-ish Restaurant”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Green Days, located near ThaePae Gate, on Lhoikro, Soi 3, is run by a Japanese woman but serves a variety of Thai foods, in addition to some regular and unique Japanese foods.

I had a large serving of raw vegetables ~ carrots, radishes, and zucchini ~ served with a tasty miso sauce. In addition, I had an avocado served with wasabi. Both dishes were fresh, beautifully presented, and every so tasty.

Much of the produce served here is local and organic. The menu showed a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, and all looked very appealing on the menu. I saw other guests enjoying some of these dishes and they looked superb.

The staff is friendly, the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The only downside is that guests seated at the table closest to the street are allowed to smoke, and that can be an annoyance.

All in all, and if you plan your visit at a non-rushed time when there are no smokers, this small 16-seater restaurant is a jewel in central Chiang Mai.
