“Hai! Great Japanese Food”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

This restaurant is not so far off the moat on Huay Kaew Road and easy to get to....very lively, with lots of students. Clients were mainly Thais..a great sign.

After eating their Salmon Teriyaki and spider roll and Golden Roll, I can understand why. Great taste, excellent prices and ambiance enuf for the most demanding.

Tsunami definitely goes into my Japanese sushi rotation.

“Busy & Bustling... for a good reason!”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Be prepared for a busy noisy lively eating experience here. If you should get seated around the open-kitchen cooking area near the street, then you'll have no shortage of entertaining activity to keep your attention. The food is excellent and the prices are good. In other words, this is better value than a lot of other places. If you like this kind of food, then this is definitely a place to put on your 'go-to' list.

NB: At the time of writing this, the location mark on the map on this Tripadvisor page is in the wrong place. The Tsunami restaurant is actually just over 2Km further away (traveling NW) from the city square on the same road (Huey Kaew Rd)

“It's sufficient for Sushi...”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

I really don't eat raw fish and gravitate towards "sushi rolls" and the cooked items. The crab roll (the one that's deep fried) tends to be over fried. And...the cold sake is never cold enough. But...it's not too expensive and still okay if you expectations aren't too high!

“Great little restaurant”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

I think this is the restaurant a couple of doors down from Salsa Kitchen. It's always busy which is a good sign in Asia. Got the Sabah fish set, great taste. The salmon set is also good. Food was a bit slow, other people came later and got their food first, but maybe cos they were getting food that didn't require cooking.
