We stumbled upon this little restaurant, and we decided to try our luck. It paid off tenfold!
This was true and authentic food, not a cuisine interpretation. The tortilla, tapas, chorizo, flan, it was all excellent!
Our waiter was very attentive and cleared our plates as soon as we were finished.
We highly recommend it!

We went to Rioja II for tapas / dinner. Had three tapas each...croquetas, Patas bravas, salad, tortilla, and spicy meatballs. They are around 90b each but the portions are really generous and well worth it. With some of the other restaurants we have been to, the quality of the meet was a bit dodgy...but I must say the food at Rioja II was amazing. Really fresh and really authentically Spanish. If you're sick of rice and noodles and want some quality food, definitely go here.

Located near Thapae Gate on the outside of the moat, parking is difficult for this central location.

The small restaurant has only two small outside table, and about seven table inside, in a well-decorated cozy atmosphere, with lots of Spanish-themed decorations bringing the feel of a Spanish bistro.

Food is authentic and tasty. Well prepared and well presented. Prices are not cheap, but as most of the food is imported from Spain, very reasonable.

Service is friendly and not hurried. Plan a relaxing evening, with plenty of jugs of home-made Sangria to wash down the hams, seafood and cheeses.

Give the Paella and other rice dishes a miss, they are neither authentic nor well cooked.

Expensive but worth it. Paella, tapas, salads, wine, desserts, seafood. I had no idea Spanish food in Thailand could be so delicious. Good atmosphere and service too.
